About The Role
We are looking for an analytics leader to take our extensive Customer data and develop it into a strong strategic asset right at the heart of our business. As our Customer Analytics Manager, you and your team wonβt just analyse data, you will create key insight that drives everything we do.
This is a high impact role, where you will be a strategic partner to the entire business. You will lead the measurement and optimisation of customer behaviour, online performance and marketing effectiveness, ensuring every insight you uncover contributes directly to our long term goals.
The role is about impact. We need someone with a strong commercial understanding who can navigate the balance between urgent business needs and deep strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities -
β’ Lead and Empower a high impact team: Build, mentor and inspire a team of talented analysts, fostering a culture of curiosity and commercial focus. Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping their careers and ensuring their work directly drives business successes.
β’ Drive our Customer Data Strategy: Working closely with key business stakeholders, you will play a driving force in shaping and delivering our customer data strategy. You will be responsible for enhancing our CDP to create robust, accessible and high quality data foundations that unlocks new business opportunities that drives long term value.
β’ Cross Functional Partnerships: working closely with our Customer Insights team to transform our understanding of customer behaviour, ensuring insights are translated into actionable strategies across the wider business.
β’ Driving Marketing Effectiveness: Empower our Marketing teams with robust, accurate data, enabling them to confidently measure campaign effectiveness and make informed decisions on budget allocation.
β’ Uncover Business opportunities: Partner with leaders in Marketing, Online, Retail, and Merchandising to embed a customer-data-first approach into all departmental strategies.
β’ Insight Automation: Oversee the development of automated dashboard and reports providing visibility of key customer, ecommerce and marketing KPIβs, enabling the entire business to make faster, smarter decisions.
β’ Actionable Recommendations: Playing a key role in encouraging democratisation of insight and ensuring that our teams focus on translating analytical findings into clear, concise and strategic recommendations for senior leadership, influencing key business decisions. You will be a key voice in the business, guiding decisions with clear actionable insights.
β’ Set the standard for Data Quality: As the customer data owners, you will champion data excellence by ensuring integrity and reliability of our customer data. You will the be the guardian of our data governance, collection and measurement standards, ensuring we always operate on a solid foundation of trust and accuracy.
About You
Experience & Leadership
β’ Extensive experience in customer and e-commerce analytics, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
β’ A proven track record of building and mentoring high-performing analytics teams.
Technical Expertise
β’ Analytics Tools: Proficient in Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager.
β’ Data Querying and Manipulation: Strong proficiency in SQL for complex and efficient queries, alongside the ability to upskill team members through peer review, training, and best practice development.
β’ Data Infrastructure: A solid understanding of cloud-based data warehousing (e.g., Azure, Fabric, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and ETL processes.
β’ Analytical Prowess: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights. Demonstrated proficiency in Python/R or other tools for advanced analysis and Machine Learning.
β’ Business Intelligence & Visualization: Extensive skills in leading BI tools such as Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or Looker Studio.
β’ E-commerce and Digital Marketing Platforms: Strong experience analysing e-commerce data and evaluating performance across various digital marketing channels (e.g., SEO, PPC, CRM).
β’ Experience with digital attribution and econometrics a bonus.
