Role description
About Us
At SWELL Wakesurf, we make days on the water better. Since 2016, we’ve designed and sold wakesurf gear that helps riders of all levels have more fun—wake shapers, ballast bags, boards, ropes, vests, and more. We’re a small, energetic crew running a fast-paced ecommerce business with a laid-back, lake-life vibe. Alongside SWELL Wakesurf, we operate SWELL Marine, providing boat storage, maintenance, and repair for local customers.
About the Role
We’re looking for a flexible, hands-on teammate to join us as a Customer Experience Coordinator. Most of your time will be spent supporting customers and operations for SWELL Wakesurf, with occasional projects for SWELL Marine. No two days look the same—this role is perfect if you like variety, learning new things, and being part of a team that loves what they do.
What You’ll Do
• Answer customer questions via phone, email, and social media
• Brainstorm and create content, post updates, engage with followers on social
• Process orders, returns, and customer requests
• Support ecommerce operations and product launches
• Assist with office organization and projects
• Occasionally help with boat pick-up/drop-off or service scheduling
• This role has room to grow with the company—whether that’s diving deeper into marketing, operations, or customer success
• About 80% of your time will be ecommerce/customer experience with SWELL Wakesurf, with the rest supporting SWELL Marine’s local boat services as needed.
What We’re Looking For
• Strong communication skills (friendly, clear, and professional)
• Comfortable with social media platforms and customer interaction
• Organized, dependable, and eager to jump in wherever needed
• Bonus: interest in boating or watersports
Schedule & Pay
• Flexible, part-time to full-time depending on fit
• $18–$24/hour, based on experience
Perks
• Laid-back, fun team environment
• Employee discount + gear testing opportunities
• Time on the water with new products
• Flexible scheduling
