Role description
A LITTE BIT ABOUT PARSLEY BOX Parsley Box is leading the market for direct-to-consumer meal deliveries for older adults across the UK. Our mission is to help people live well for longer through nourishing, comforting meals made with care ROLE OVERVIEW As Demand Planner & Product Administrator, you will combine strong data-driven forecasting and communications skills to keep all product lines in stock and available for sale, while minimising stockholding to manage shelf life risk and working capital. You will also use your strong attention to detail to set up and maintain our product range across multiple systems and sales platforms, including detailed nutritional, allergen and pricing data. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Inventory management • Ensure all products are ordered and delivered on time to maximise all sales opportunities. • Monitor sales by product line daily to ensure all lines remain available for sale on our website. • Maintain optimal stock levels across all products, in line with business targets. • Proactively identify and manage slow-moving or obsolete stock, driving their reduction or removal to optimise inventory health. • Ensure balanced stock holdings across the warehouse and supply base to minimise supply risk while maximising shelf life and reducing impact on working capital. Supply Chain Coordination • Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure orders are delivered on time and in full; any issues are resolved quickly; and proactively mitigate risks. • Collaborate with suppliers to maintain accurate rolling 12-week forecasts and quarterly planning cycles, adjusting in response to demand changes. • Understand supplier capabilities and constraints, including MOQs, lead times, and alternative supply options. Forecasting & Reporting • Monitor sales trends and forecast changes, communicate significant variances to stock levels and availability with management. • Provide timely updates to the business on stock availability and forecast adjustments. Product & Marketing Support • Support the product and marketing teams by creating and confirming purchase orders for both new and existing lines. • Collaborate on product launches, marketing campaigns, and promotional events to ensure accurate stock planning and readiness. Product Merchandising & Setup • Manage product and category setup and updates across internal systems and external platforms (e.g. company website and Amazon). • Update product assortments and upsell bundles to support targeted marketing campaigns. • Create new product listings and entries based on business or marketing needs. Data & Systems Management • Maintain and update product data in internal systems, including the Master File, Product Dashboard, Product Bible for technical trackers (e.g. allergens and nutritional information). • Ownership on creating, inputting and managing product information across platforms such as Xero, Warehouse Buddy, and Django when needed. • Manage the Amazon storefront and Shopify integration to ensure correct product availability, description accuracy, and promotional alignment. KEY RELATIONSHIPS Reports to • Head of Finance Key internal relationships • Product development • Marketing • Contact Centre Key external relationships • Suppliers • Warehouse MEASURED ON • Stock availability and stock days held • Accuracy of ordering profile against forecasts EXPERIENCE & SKILLS NEEDED • At least 3 years of experience working in a demand planning role within a retail setting. • At least 3 years of experience demonstrating advanced Excel and analytical skills to combine large amounts of data from different sources, and recommend actions based on this analysis. • Hands-on experience in maintaining and updating e-commerce platforms and ensuring accurate product listings. • A working knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and Shopify, along with order fulfilment basics, is desirable but not mandatory. • Technical knowledge of food products is desirable.
