Β About the Role: IN HOUSE ROLE - Sidcup South East London We’re looking for a commercially savvy, design-led UX Designer to join our growing team at House of Willow Alexander. You’ll be our in-house digital aesthetic guardian, responsible for designing high-converting user experiences across our WooCommerce WordPress platform, as well as crafting beautiful supporting visuals for print, editorial, and digital channels. Key Responsibilities: UX/UI & Website Design β€’ Design and optimise user flows, wireframes, and responsive layouts for our WooCommerce site. β€’ Collaborate with devs and marketing to deploy and test user experiences that convert. β€’ Maintain and evolve the design system and brand consistency across all web assets. WordPress & WooCommerce β€’ Work with developers (or light theme editing yourself) to implement visual updates using Elementor/Divi or custom themes. β€’ Manage landing pages, campaign pages, and microsites for products and services. β€’ Optimise UX for both desktop and mobile performance and accessibility. Visual & Print Design β€’ Create marketing collateral including pitch decks, PDFs, brochures, signage, packaging, and in-store assets. β€’ Collaborate with content and social teams to deliver visually engaging stories for email, blog, and video thumbnails. Optional: SEO & Digital Marketing β€’ UX collaboration with SEO team to improve engagement and CRO. β€’ Design lead magnets and conversion-focused visuals. β€’ A/B test layout variations with marketing and growth teams. What You’ll Need: β€’ 3+ years experience in UX design with a strong focus on WordPress/WooCommerce. β€’ Strong portfolio of eCommerce design work. β€’ Proficient in Figma or Adobe XD, and graphic tools like Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop. β€’ Good understanding of UX principles, accessibility, and responsive design. β€’ Print design experience a bonus (especially branded decks, posters, packaging). β€’ Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS is a plus. β€’ Bonus: SEO knowledge or experience working on CRO campaigns. Desirable Traits: β€’ Deeply customer-focused, intuitive, and user-obsessed. β€’ Multidisciplinary creative with a love for sustainable, aspirational brands. β€’ Able to switch between fast-turnaround marketing work and high-level UX planning. β€’ Strategic thinker who can make design decisions rooted in conversion and engagement.
