COMPANY OVERVIEW Based on New Bond Street, London, Shapero is an internationally renowned brand, specialising in rare books and contemporary art from 1350 to the modern day. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced digital marketing manager to join a flourishing international business, working with both Shapero Modern and our core business Shapero Rare Books. ROLE OVERVIEW The Digital Marketing Manager manages our digital presence and advertising across multiple platforms, owns our e‑commerce websites and drives growth through data‑driven SEO, PPC and content strategies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Website management & SEO – Act as owner of our Shopify and ArtLogic e‑commerce websites. Perform on‑page and technical SEO to improve ranking, organic clicks, click‑through rate and conversion rate. Liaise with development partners to implement theme and technical updates. Monitor site speed, user experience and the customer journey; continuously optimise to reduce bounce and abandonment rates. • Digital advertising – Plan, launch and optimise paid campaigns across Google Ads (Performance Max, Shopping, Display, Search and Maps), social channels and other networks. Manage and allocate budgets, monitor return on ad spend and cost per acquisition, and adjust targeting and creative to maximise return on investment. • Analytics & reporting – Gather and analyse data from Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, SEMrush, Search Console and other SEO tools. Create weekly and monthly dashboards and present insights and recommendations to senior leadership. Use data to identify trends, adjust strategy and forecast performance. • Content & email marketing – Produce and update category descriptions & collections, landing pages, advertisement copy and blog articles to support campaigns and improve SEO. Develop and optimise email journeys and automations; conduct A/B tests to improve open and click‑through rates. • E‑commerce growth – Drive revenue through continuous conversion‑rate optimisation across the funnel, including checkout flow, navigation and product taxonomy. Work with colleagues to refine website strategy and promotions. • Team & collaboration – Work closely with colleagues in marketing, design and sales to ensure consistent brand messaging. Mentor interns and junior staff, delegating SEO and advertising tasks and training them on best‑practice workflows. Liaise with developers to optimise the website. • Innovation & industry awareness – Stay up to date with digital marketing trends, algorithm updates and best practice. Identify opportunities to test new channels and tools; share insights with the team. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS • At least 5 years’ experience in digital marketing with proven success in SEO and paid advertising. • Demonstrable experience managing e‑commerce websites and a digital advertising budget. • Advanced knowledge of Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max), Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, SEMrush, Search Console and SEO tools. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify opportunities and present insights clearly. • Excellent written communication skills, including experience producing copy for marketing campaigns. • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with CRM and email automation tools such as HubSpot or Mailchimp. • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail. • Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff is desirable. DESIRABLE SKILLS • Experience working with Shopify • Knowledge of the luxury retail sector. • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and content management systems. • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or video editing software. • Familiarity with other advertising platforms (e.g. Microsoft Advertising, Outbrain) and multi‑channel marketing. • Working knowledge of marketing analytics languages such as SQL or Python. TERMS Job type – Full‑time. Location – New Bond Street, London (hybrid working possible after completion of probationary period). Salary – Competitive, dependent on experience.
