About The Role
The Digital Marketing Specialist at UNFI is a vital role responsible for managing the planning and execution of supplier marketing and advertising strategies. This position involves developing and implementing digital, social, and print media campaigns to support e-commerce operations and enhance brand visibility. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with sales, professional services, and creative teams to craft compelling marketing programs that resonate with target audiences. They will also oversee relationships with external solution providers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality B2C programs. Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in business, marketing, English, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience
β’ Minimum of 2 years of retail marketing/advertising experience, preferably in the grocery sector
β’ Proficiency in digital marketing, e-commerce, and social media platforms
β’ Basic knowledge of printing processes, layout, design, and print distribution
β’ Strong understanding of advertising, sales promotion, and campaign execution
β’ Excellent strategic and tactical planning skills
β’ Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure
β’ Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
β’ Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PC-based tools
β’ Knowledge of retail processes and consumer segmentation
Responsibilities
β’ Collaborate with sales, professional services, and ad groups to prepare and present digital marketing program proposals
β’ Manage relationships with external solution providers for B2C program creation and servicing
β’ Assist in developing content for social media, website topics, email newsletters, and sales collateral
β’ Support the execution of all supplier digital marketing campaigns in partnership with the Digital Shopper Marketing Manager
β’ Work with supplier partners to develop digital brand marketing campaigns, including promotions, contests, and sweepstakes
β’ Create and present campaign briefs to creative teams and project managers
β’ Leverage retail industry knowledge to bridge digital marketing strategies with traditional marketing and in-store execution
β’ Conduct market research to understand account-specific consumer segments and competitive landscapes
β’ Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with retailer needs and consumer preferences
β’ Present consumer marketing strategies and advertising programs to internal and external audiences
β’ Ensure all marketing elements adhere to brand guidelines and maintain consistency across channels
