Job Summary The Director of Ecommerce Architecture will play a pivotal role in driving the digital transformation at PJI. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a passion for innovation. The ideal candidate is results-driven and thrives in a fast-paced environment. S/he will partner with industry experts and internal technology leaders to lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge solutions that enhance PJI’s customer engagement, drive brand loyalty, and streamline operations. Key Responsibilities • Architect and Design Solutions: Develop and implement scalable cloud architectures that support PJI’s ecommerce platforms and enhance integrations with in-store technologies. • Generative AI Integration: Lead the integration of generative AI technologies to optimize customer personalization, engagement, and operational efficiency. • Innovation in PJI’s Ecommerce and Integrations with Store Technologies: Drive innovation within our sector by identifying and implementing technology solutions that streamline ecommerce processes and improve in-store experiences for our customers. • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices in architecture and design. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, developers, and quality and operational engineers, to align technical solutions with business goals. • Product Engineering Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, developers, and quality and operational engineers, to drive alignment on technical solutions with business goals. Provide technical delivery management with effort estimates to deliver medium to large-scale projects and support the development of technology ROI. • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of cloud-based solutions. • Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation and provide training to ensure seamless adoption of new technologies. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Experience: Proven experience as a Technical Architect, Principal Engineer, or similar role in a large-scale ecommerce environment with a minimum of 5 years in architecture leadership, with a focus on cloud computing, generative AI, and QSR ecommerce and store technology innovation. • Technical Skills: • Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), generative AI frameworks (e.g., GPT, DALL-E), and QSR ecommerce and store technology solutions. • Strong expertise in microservices architecture, and API development. • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript. • Experience with database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL. • Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills, experience in leading technical teams and projects. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically. • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Effectively communicate technical concepts to executive level business and technology leadership. • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
