Role description
Director of eCommerce - Health & Beauty Remote We’re looking for a Director of eCommerce to help drive continued growth across our owned digital channels. This role will support and collaborate closely with our Sr. Director of eCommerce to execute on initiatives that grow conversion, retention, and AOV across our DTC experience. You’ll be deeply involved in shaping the onsite customer journey, owning eCommerce operations, leading digital merchandising, and driving key performance metrics. This is a highly cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of digital marketing, site experience, merchandising, and platform performance. You’ll work closely with teams across creative, growth, retention, CX, and tech to deliver a best-in-class shopping experience. Key Responsibilities: Site & Platform Management β€’ Own day-to-day operations and updates in Shopify (e.g., product templates, discount codes, page updates). β€’ Partner with CX and Tech to troubleshoot bugs and oversee QA on all launches and site changes. β€’ Monitor site speed, conversion issues, and platform reliability to ensure seamless user experience. β€’ Collaborate on new integrations and ensure clean implementation of 3rd-party tools. β€’ Ensure all updates follow technical SEO best practices (e.g. clean URLs, proper meta structure, schema, mobile-first design). β€’ Own the end-to-end deployment of promotional campaigns, from onsite setup through QA, launch, and post-campaign analysis to ensure flawless execution and revenue impact. Merchandising & Optimization β€’ Lead onsite merchandising strategy to drive conversion and AOV across key product categories. β€’ Analyze performance by product, bundle, and promotion to make data-informed recommendations. β€’ Partner with the creative and retention teams to implement seasonal refreshes and campaign launches. β€’ Own and iterate on A/B testing roadmap and CRO strategies to continuously improve site performance. β€’ Own and track key eCommerce KPIs (conversion rate, AOV, revenue, LTV, subscription growth) and proactively implement strategies to optimize them. Collaboration & Communication β€’ Work with the Sr. Director to develop and maintain a roadmap of initiatives tied to revenue and performance goals. β€’ Communicate site updates and insights cross-functionally and surface opportunities based on consumer behavior trends. β€’ Act as a thought partner to stakeholders across lifecycle, growth, and creative to align digital efforts. Requirements β€’ 7–10+ years in eCommerce or digital merchandising, ideally in a fast-paced DTC or CPG environment. β€’ Deep Shopify experience (5+ years), including working with custom templates and integrations. β€’ Strong command of eComm KPIs: conversion, bounce, AOV, CLTV, cart abandonment, site speed, etc. β€’ Experience owning digital merchandising strategy and testing frameworks (e.g., A/B, multivariate). β€’ Confident in analyzing performance data and distilling insights into action. β€’ Collaborative, solutions-oriented, and comfortable operating in a rapidly evolving environment. β€’ Subscription experience (e.g., ReCharge, Stay, Skio) is a plus. β€’ Familiarity with UX best practices and digital design principles.
