Role description
Bridgeport, CT (1-2 days a week in-office)
This role is crucial for driving eCommerce success across the Americas market. The Head of eCommerce will lead all direct-to-consumer (DTC) digital initiatives including the DTC website, marketplaces (e.g., Amazon), and execution on retail partner websites (Target, Nordstroms, Saks, etc) . The role is consumer-focused and responsible for the P&L across the digital landscape in the Americas. Driving sales, conversion, and performance reporting across all digital touchpoints, while managing a cross-functional team of eCommerce and digital marketing specialists.
This position sits within the Americas Leadership Team and plays a key strategic role in the acceleration of our digital business. It works in close alignment with global eCommerce, digital marketing, brand communications, and US sales leadership to localize and execute global strategy with maximum commercial impact.
The position reports to the General Manager, Americas, with a dotted line to the Global Chief Digital Officer.
Personnel Responsibility
• Directly lead and manage the Americas Ecom team, with heavy emphasis on our 3p Amazon relationship and DTC site:
• 2x eCommerce Specialists
• 1x Digital Marketing Specialist
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders locally and globally Education Required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in eCommerce-related fields such as Business, Digital Marketing, or Online Sales
Experience Required
• Minimum 10 years of relevant eCommerce experience, including direct responsibility for an owned eCommerce store and third-party marketplaces (e.g., Amazon)
• Proven team management experience, ideally in a matrixed organization
• Strong knowledge of SEM, SEO, display advertising, and online marketing tactics
• Experience with platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud (ex-Demandware), Shopify, or similar
• Familiarity with tools like Confluence, Jira, Smartsheet, Miro, CMS, PIM systems, and Hotjar
• Strong analytical mindset and familiarity with Google Analytics or similar tools
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and performance-driven
• Experience in translating global strategy to local execution, with a strong consumer focus
Main Responsibilities
• Responsible for the DTC P&L and delivery of sales and profits associated by the DTC channels (DTC site, marketplaces)
• Drive discussions and negotiations with retailers on driving a premium digital experience on retailer.com. This includes the site experience, advertising spend planning and optimization, testing roadmap and promotional strategies.
• Lead the execution of our global eCommerce strategy within the Americas market across all digital sales channels (brand.com, marketplaces, retailer.com)
• Analyze digital performance and consumer behavior to optimize conversion, drive growth, and inform ongoing improvement
• Collaborate with global teams (Digital Marketing, Brand, eCommerce) and local Sales to ensure brand consistency and business alignment
• Own and oversee the execution of campaigns and promotions tailored to the US market
• Lead content optimization, product positioning, and consumer journey improvements across all digital touchpoints
• Ensure compliance with US-specific legal disclaimers, product regulations, and data privacy requirements
• Identify and document the Americas-specific digital requirements and contribute to global roadmap discussions with best practices and market feedback
• Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team aligned with our leadership principles
