About the Role We’re looking for Director of Ecommerce to join Americanflat. As the new Director of Ecommerce, you will develop the vision and execution strategy for our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) online sales channels. You will develop and execute a comprehensive e-commerce strategy for our home decor brand, expanding our current offerings and preparing for new product categories. You will lead digital marketing and customer acquisition efforts (including SEM, social media, and email campaigns) to drive website traffic and sales. You will optimize the website’s user experience and merchandising (UX/UI, product content, promotions) to maximize conversion and customer satisfaction. Working closely with product, merchandising, and operations, you will help manage efficient operations and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate is a strategic, analytical leader with proven e-commerce experience and a passion for building a successful DTC business. Responsibilities: Digital Marketing & Customer Acquisition: Lead digital marketing campaigns (SEM, email, social media, influencer marketing, etc.) to drive website traffic, build brand awareness, and acquire new customers. Optimize the online shopping experience (UX/UI design, product content and imagery, promotions, A/B testing) to maximize conversion rates and customer satisfaction. Develop and execute customer retention programs (email/SMS marketing, loyalty rewards, bundles) to increase repeat purchase rates and customer lifetime value. Operations & Channel Management: Manage the e-commerce platform and ensure operational excellence (site performance, mobile optimization, payment systems, and ADA compliance). Coordinate with inventory, fulfillment, and logistics teams or partners to maintain stock levels and ensure timely order fulfillment. Oversee marketplace and retail channel integration (e.g. Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair), using performance insights from these channels to inform and support the DTC strategy. Strategic Planning & Growth: Develop and execute end-to-end DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) strategies from scratch, driving new revenue verticals through strategic vision and hands-on implementation aligned with Americanflat’s growth objectives. Set revenue targets and KPIs; manage budgets and forecasts to drive profitable growth. Requirements: 7+ years of e-commerce experience with a strong track record of growing online sales. Prior experience leading a DTC brand in-house Demonstrated experience building and scaling a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) strategy from the ground up. Deep expertise in digital marketing and online merchandising (SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media advertising, content strategy). Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, comfortable using metrics (Google Analytics, e-commerce KPIs) to make decisions and forecast demand. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online retail technologies; experience managing large product catalogs and site deployments. Experience managing marketplace and retailer channels (Amazon, Walmart, etc.) and integrating them into a broader e-commerce strategy. Excellent leadership, communication, and project-management skills; ability to build and mentor a high-performing team.
