Responsibilities: β€’ Hire, develop, and lead engineering teams to deliver high-quality, thoroughly tested product features in an agile environment. β€’ Mentor and coach team members on design principles, coding practices, and testing techniques. β€’ Drive platform modernization and oversee architecture decisions for scalable, high-performance solutions. β€’ Collaborate with Product teams to deliver timely milestones and strategic initiatives. β€’ Establish coding standards, architectural patterns, and best practices to ensure technical excellence. β€’ Oversee technical documentation, testing strategies, and incident response processes. β€’ Contribute to codebases as a hands-on leader, setting an example for adopting best practices. β€’ Balance user needs with engineering constraints to optimize delivery outcomes. Must-Have Skills: β€’ 12+ years of technical leadership experience in large-scale, enterprise-level B2C applications. β€’ Deep knowledge of consumer-facing web technologies, including the LAMP stack, Node.js, and Vue.js. β€’ Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases in high-traffic environments. β€’ Proficiency in designing and delivering cloud-native applications using DevOps principles. β€’ Expertise in API design, integration patterns, and microservices architecture. Nice-to-Have Skills: β€’ Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS. β€’ Hands-on familiarity with asynchronous communication patterns for distributed systems. β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex technical challenges. β€’ Executive presence with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. β€’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
