Director, Growth – Havas Play & Havas Market
Location: NYC, Hybrid
Reports to VP, Growth, dotted line into Play and Market leads
Havas Play and Havas Market are two distinct but powerful practices within Havas Media Network, NA. One driving cultural impact through sports and entertainment, the other delivering connected commerce experiences that drive incremental sales for brands. As Director, Growth, you’ll be at the center of both: building pipeline, opening doors, and driving opportunity across two critical growth areas. This role requires some regional travel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead outbound prospecting for Havas Play and Havas Market, generating and qualifying new business opportunities with net-new clients.
• Develop tailored outreach strategies that resonate with brand marketers, e-commerce leaders, and cultural partners.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline across verticals, ensuring strong coverage, momentum, and conversion potential, aligned to quarterly growth goals.
• Collaborate closely with the VP of Growth, Practice Leads, and New Business team to tailor to define priorities, identify high-potential categories, develop go-to-market strategies and messaging, and outreach materials.
• Craft compelling positioning and messaging that bring each practice’s value to life and translate our capabilities into client impact.
• Conduct market and category research to surface whitespace opportunities and trigger timely outreach.
• Track, analyze, and report on lead generation performance, optimizing tactics for efficiency and scale.
• Support end-to-end pursuit efforts—from early conversations through pitch stage—for practice-led deals.
• Serve as a visible and credible ambassador of Havas Media’s data, analytics and B2B capabilities.
• Attend relevant industry events and conferences to represent each practice and identify prospecting opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of experience in growth, new business, marketing, or strategy roles—preferably within media, consulting, technology, or an agency.
• Proven ability to generate leads, build relationships, and advance complex, consultative sales cycles.
• Strong understanding of data-driven marketing, retail media, or digital transformation is a plus.
• Exceptional communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
• Experience in business development for influencer, experiential, shopper, or PR agencies is nice to have.
The salary range for this role is: $135000 - $145, 000 annually, DOE.
