Role description
Director of IT Direct Hire Hybrid but on-site for training period - Midlothian, VA The Director of IT is responsible for leading the strategic direction, daily operation, and advancement of the company’s technology systems. This role will oversee all aspects of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, application development, cybersecurity, and technical support. The Director will work closely with cross functional teams including client services, operations, sales, and finance to ensure that our technology supports efficiency, innovation, and customer experience. This is a hands-on role that requires deep technical experience, particularly with application development and e-commerce platforms. The Director will report to the CEO. Key Responsibilities • Guide IT strategy, lead/develop team members, and implement training programs aligned with evolving technologies. • Oversee and assist with the development, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of core systems such as ERP, CRM, and E-commerce platforms, as well as in-house custom applications. • Manage relationships with third-party vendors/consultants while meeting, as necessary, with clients to discuss IT opportunities. • Lead network security protocols, access controls, and incident investigations • Oversee system backups, test restorations, and business continuity planning to safeguard critical data. • Support business intelligence and reporting initiatives to enable data-driven decision-making. • Evaluate and implement technology solutions that streamline operations in manufacturing, inventory, and fulfillment. • Partner with leadership on digital transformation projects and emerging tech initiatives • Contribute to strategic planning, managing IT budgets, and address internal control and regulatory requirements Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Minimum 7 years of progressive IT experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment. • Expertise in AWS Cloud technologies • Expertise in C# programming and relational databases • Expertise in e-commerce systems • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, cloud applications, firewalls, and network security protocols. • Strong leadership, project management, budgeting, and vendor negotiation skills. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities Highly preferred, but not required • Experience with Infor M3 Cloudsuite ERP • Experience with nopCommerce
