We design our products to help people in extreme conditions, and our radios have been adopted for use in a wide variety of outdoor activities and commercial applications. We have a small, passionate, and highly motivated team with a deep understanding of our customers.
At Rocky Talkie, weβre driven by the belief that better communication in the backcountry can save lives. As part of this mission, we donate $2 per radio sold to search and rescue teams around the country, supporting those who help keep outdoor communities safe.
About the Role
Rocky Talkie is seeking a strategic leader to serve as our Director of Marketing & eCommerce. This is a critical executive role with full ownership over our direct-to-consumer (DTC) revenue, brand strategy, and digital experience.Β Youβll set the vision for growth across performance marketing, retention, site experience, and content strategy with a hands-on approach.
Weβre a fast-growing outdoor brand with deep roots in the mountain community and a passionate customer base. We are looking for someone who will expand upon our informative, honest, and community-centered approach to marketing at Rocky Talkie, and help bring our products to new customers. Youβll guide and scale the marketing and ecommerce function with an entrepreneurial mindset, balancing big-picture thinking with day-to-day implementation.
Key Areas of Ownership
β’ Own and drive the entire DTC funnel, from traffic to conversion to retention
β’ Lead brand growth with innovative, cross-channel marketing strategies that elevate visibility and engagement
β’ Steward and evolve the Rocky Talkie brand as we grow and expand into new customer segments and geographic markets
β’ Guide strategy and execution across performance and retention marketing, lifecycle, user experience, content, and storytelling
β’ Oversee the ecommerce roadmap, managing Shopify and the integrated tech stack
β’ Build, mentor, and scale a nimble team while collaborating cross-functionally across product, operations, and customer experience
β’ Translate data into insights, and insights into action
What Weβre Looking For
β’ A proven marketing and ecommerce leader with 8+ years of experience, including leadership roles in DTC brands
β’ Deep expertise in growth marketing, retention, and ecommerce operations
β’ Equally comfortable setting vision and executing - from building strategy decks to writing briefs to QA'ing a campaign launch
β’ Analytical, creative, and customer-obsessed
β’ Success working in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments
β’ Passionate about the outdoors and excited by the opportunity to shape the future of an authentic backcountry brand
