Job Summary: The Omnichannel Supply Chain team is seeking an experienced Director, O+O Operations to drive inventory and financial planning strategies for L'Oréal USA's e-commerce operations. This individual will be a key leader in ensuring the success of our e-commerce performance while working cross-functionally to implement best practices across the channel.
The Director will collaborate with brand site leads, sales planning, merchandising, finance, marketing teams, the supply chain organization, and 3PL partners to forecast optimal inventory levels based on business needs and strategic changes. This role is critical within the planning organization for establishing new processes to support continued growth and profitability across Amazon FBA, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), and TikTok Shop channels.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage planning, replenishment, and reporting for the e-commerce channel.
• Develop and implement inventory replenishment strategies to ensure continuous availability of all SKUs.
• Lead cross-functional teams in managing diverse SKUs/categories at the node level
• to understand slow- and fast-moving inventory in real-time, enabling informed replenishment decisions.
• Partner with Demand Planning teams to maintain targeted stock positions and fill rates, including regular review of forecast variances and resolution of errors.
• Responsible for all weekly/monthly performance reporting to brand teams and supply chain partners at the channel level.
• Collaborate with internal leaders and stakeholders across Sales Operations, Finance, 3PL partners, and Supply Chain to understand historical trends, outliers, and estimated volumes for SKU coverage at the node level
• .
• Responsible for identifying aged inventory and the risk of stock expiration, and aligning with Finance on corrective action plans.
• Conduct weekly management calls with brand site leads and the Supply Chain organization regarding strategies, execution, and SKU-level expectations.
• Maintain a close partnership with internal and external 3PL teams to ensure optimal inventory flows, including, but not limited to, stock transfers and Return-to-Vendor (RTV) processes.
• Manage go-live dates, backorders, pre-orders, and cancellations at the SKU level, particularly those impacted by inventory availability.
• Continue the Anaplan rollout for multi-divisional use, enhancing short-term planning capabilities.
• Identify and manage Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) for the channel through effective planning and promotional programming, in partnership with brand site leads.
• Manage a team of 4 direct reports.
Requirements
• 8 to 10 years of progressive experience managing high-volume e-commerce businesses, including P&L management, forecasting, and planning.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, business management, or a related field.
• Expertise in planning, inventory replenishment strategies, and operations.
• Experience leading direct reports and cross-divisional teams in strategic day-to-day operations.
• Proven ability to collaborate with internal leadership on forecasting, execution, and demand estimation.
• In-depth knowledge of statistical forecasting, 3PL management, and root-cause analysis for identifying and resolving supply chain stockouts and optimizing opportunities.
• A hands-on approach to risk analysis and developing metrics for forecast error review and mitigation strategies.
• A flexible leader who encourages ideas and participation from all team members.
• Demonstrated ability to develop logical, long-term, and cost-effective solutions.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary; knowledge of other MS Office tools is a plus.
