Role description
About ALSO. We’re ALSO, an electric mobility company originally conceived as a part of Rivian. We’re a passionate team of builders, dreamers, doers and innovators, focused on creating entirely new (not to mention, innovative and delightful) vertically integrated, small EVs designed to meet the global mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. Our mission is to inspire everyone to ride ALSO—replacing many local car, truck and SUV miles with ones on vehicles that are more affordable, more enjoyable and 10-50x more efficient. ALSO is looking for a Head of Paid & Performance Marketing. This is a rare opportunity to own the paid media engine for a product-first brand at the intersection of hardware, design, and urban mobility. You'll lead strategy, execution, and optimization across all paid and performance channels — while partnering closely with product marketing, brand, and e-commerce teams. What You Will Do • Develop and own our paid media and performance marketing strategy across search, paid social, display, video, affiliate, and emerging channels. • Translate product and brand narratives into performance campaigns that drive customer acquisition and conversion. • Build and manage full-funnel campaign plans, performance forecasts, media budgets, and A/B test roadmaps. • Launch, monitor, and optimize hands-on campaigns, this is not a pure strategy role; you’ll be in the tools. • Partner with brand marketing, product marketing, retail and e-commerce teams to ensure messaging, creative, and customer experience touchpoints are fully aligned with campaign goals. • Build and track multi-channel attribution models and customer acquisition cost (CAC) benchmarks. • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies, scaling support thoughtfully as we grow. • Analyze performance and generate insights that drive growth, efficiency, and retention. What You Will Bring • 7–10+ years of experience, including leadership roles, in performance marketing, growth, or paid media roles. • Experience launching and scaling paid programs for consumer hardware, e-commerce, or mobility products. • Deep fluency with platforms like Meta, Google Ads, YouTube, TikTok, DSPs, and analytics tools (GA4, Amplitude, etc.). • Proven experience in the realm of product and product-centered marketing, with demonstrated ability to turn features into conversion-driven campaigns. • Hands-on, data-driven operator who thrives in fast-paced, zero-to-one environments • Comfort with ambiguity, tight deadlines, and shifting priorities. • Passion for products that solve real-world problems and reshape how people move through cities. The salary for this position ranges from $200,000 - $230,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Why ALSO. We’re passionate about helping the world find a better way to get there—wherever it is you’re headed. We’re located in the heart of Silicon Valley and have brought together a world-class team from some of the biggest brands in the technology, automotive, cycling, outdoor recreation and retail spaces. Together we’re working hands-on to imagine, design and build an entirely new solution to a global set of transportation challenges. Perks And Benefits • Robust health coverage. Excellent health, dental and vision insurance covered up to 100% by ALSO with FSA & HSA options. • One Medical membership and dedicated insurance advocates. • Rich fertility and family building benefits with Progyny. • Flexible time off. • 401(k) match.
