As the Director of QA & Testing, you will own the quality assurance strategy for e-commerce websites, ensuring high-performing site functionality and flawless customer experiences while leading QA planning and testing for various site updates and releases. Responsibilities: β€’ Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy, framework, and best practices across all brand sites. β€’ Lead the QA team and/or vendor partners, ensuring efficient resourcing and consistent execution. β€’ Define quality metrics, acceptance criteria, and go/no-go decision processes for releases. β€’ Oversee functional, regression, cross-browser, cross-device, and performance testing for new features, site enhancements, and bug fixes. β€’ Coordinate with product managers, developers, and designers to ensure issues are identified and resolved before launch. β€’ Manage testing schedules in alignment with development sprints, promotional calendars, and seasonal release timelines. β€’ Validate and approve third-party tech vendor integrations, ensuring they meet functional, security, and performance standards. β€’ Oversee QA for platform migrations, upgrades, and rollout plans to minimize downtime and risk. β€’ Partner with the optimization and analytics teams to QA all test variants and personalization rules prior to launch. β€’ Ensure tracking, targeting, and measurement are implemented correctly for accurate reporting. β€’ Maintain a clear, prioritized backlog of bugs and quality issues, and track them to resolution. β€’ Analyze recurring defects to identify process improvements and training opportunities for cross-functional teams. Qualifications: Required: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). β€’ 8+ years of experience in QA/testing for e-commerce or high-traffic digital platforms, preferably with at least 3 years in a leadership role. β€’ Expertise in QA methodologies, tools, and processes (manual and automated). β€’ Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify Plus preferred). β€’ Familiarity with A/B testing and personalization tools (e.g., Kameleoon, Optimizely, Dynamic Yield). β€’ Strong knowledge of cross-browser/device testing, responsive design QA, and accessibility standards. β€’ Proficiency with testing tools such as Selenium and BrowserStack. β€’ Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for delivering pixel-perfect, bug-free experiences. β€’ Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. β€’ Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. β€’ Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think strategically while acting tactically. β€’ Based in or willing to work from the New York City HQ several days per week. β€’ Ability to work flexible hours during major launches, seasonal peaks, or urgent issue resolution.
