Role description
This is a rare, high-profile opportunity to build a new direct-to-consumer retail brand from scratch. As Director of Retail Strategy & Operations, you will lead the launch and growth of American Bitcoinโ€™s e-commerce and branded merchandise platform, including clothing, lifestyle goods, and cultural products that reflect the mission of American Bitcoin. Youโ€™ll serve as the founding business leader of this initiative, with ownership over strategy, P&L, product roadmap, partnerships, and execution. This role demands a business-first builder who thrives in zero-to-one environments and is equally comfortable optimizing margins as they are shaping drops that resonate. The right candidate will bring analytical discipline, strategic clarity, and brand instinct to every decision. Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following: Define, launch, and scale ABTC's consumer retail platform from the ground up; Build and own financial models to forecast, manage, and deliver against revenue and margin KPIs; Shape go-to-market strategy and execution product drops, partnerships, launch timing, channel selection, and pricing; Collaborate with creative, design, and marketing partners to develop culturally resonant, high-quality products; Stand up operations, including a robust e-commerce stack, logistics, inventory systems, and post-purchase experience; Recruit and manage key hires, contractors, and partners across growth, merchandising, and customer experience. Requirements include a Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent professional experience, 6+ years in consumer, e-commerce, or digitally native brand environments, experience launching and scaling direct-to-consumer brands, ability to manage P&L with financial modeling fluency, experience building operational infrastructure from scratch, understanding of digital growth levers, brand and product-market resonance instincts, leadership experience in fast-paced environments, and being resourceful and execution-oriented. The role can be remote or in-office at the corporate headquarters in Brickell, Miami, Florida.
