Position Title: Director of Sales
Department: Sales
Reports To: Vice President of Sales (CPG)
Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
Schedule : Remote work schedule, with three days per month in office. Candidates must be able to commute three days out of the month to the Elk Grove Village facility.
Salary: $125,000 - $155,000 BOE, +15% bonus potential

Overview:
Weโre looking for a dynamic Director of Sales to lead our Amazon and key retail channel strategy within the outdoor living spaceโgrills, outdoor heaters, and related consumer products. This individual will be responsible for driving profitable growth across Amazon and select major retailers in the U.S. and Canada. This includes managing account relationships, guiding promotional strategy, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring long-term channel success.
Key Responsibilities:
โข Own the Amazon business strategy for North America, including sales planning, execution, and performance management.
โข Develop and deepen relationships with Amazon Retail and Advertising teams, as well as key internal stakeholders.
โข Lead joint business planning efforts, promotional calendars, AVN negotiations, and product launch strategies.
โข Analyze and report on performance metrics such as sell-through, advertising ROI, inventory health, customer feedback, and profitability.
โข Collaborate with the eCommerce marketing team on Amazon Advertising, SEO/SEM, and optimization tactics to boost conversion.
โข Stay current on Amazon policies, category trends, and competitive dynamics to adapt and inform strategy.
โข Lead monthly sales forecasting and ensure alignment across supply chain, marketing, and finance.
โข Proactively seek out new opportunities to grow sales and brand presence in the outdoor living category.
โข Foster a collaborative team environment with clear communication and shared goals.
Qualifications:
โข 5โ10 years of experience in Sales Account Management, including 3+ years managing Amazon retail or vendor accounts.
โข Prior experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or consumer durables, ideally in outdoor living or home-related products.
โข Strong communication skills and proven ability to build and maintain retail partnerships.
โข Analytical mindset with comfort navigating Amazon Retail Analytics and data-driven decision-making.
โข Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
โข Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with frequent deadlines.
โข Experience working with large national retailers beyond Amazon is a plus.
