Job Overview
As the E-commerce Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth and performance of our online sales channels by leveraging a strong analytical mindset, operational excellence, and deep domain expertise in ecommerce and marketplace dynamics. This role demands a data-driven problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates a strong ownership mindset.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Identify key growth levers across the ecommerce funnel - traffic, conversion, assortment, and pricing. Tackle business challenges with a structured, data-driven approach.
β’ Use analytics to uncover insights, optimize performance, and support decision-making and present actionable recommendations.
β’ Manage marketplace partnerships (e.g., Amazon, Noon, etc.), negotiate visibility and campaign opportunities, and lead growth initiatives in collaboration with platform account managers.
β’ Own commercial terms, pricing strategies, promotional planning, and platform negotiations to maximize profitability and exposure.
β’ Drive catalog quality, content accuracy, discoverability, and platform compliance to ensure top-notch customer experience and conversion.
β’ Work closely with supply chain, finance, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure alignment and timely execution of ecommerce initiatives.
β’ Keep a pulse on competitor activity, platform trends, and consumer behavior
β’ Proactively take ownership of high-impact projects that improve business KPIsβbe it cost efficiency, new channel development, or operational excellence.
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
β’ Minimum 3 years of proven experience in e-commerce or online retail.
β’ Previous exposure to marketplace operations (Ex: Amazon) as well as quick commerce (Ex: Instashop, Talabat and Deliveroo).
β’ Strong understanding of online marketplaces and their algorithms.
β’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong commercial understanding.
β’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High on ownership.
β’ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
