Overview Empire Office is currently seeking an E-COMMERCE MANAGER in our NEW YORK OFFICE to join our growing team. Empire Office has a growing e-commerce product portfolio that is used to drive topline sales and internal efficiencies. This team manages the sites, content, feature development, and product roadmap. Key Responsibilities The E-COMMERCE MANAGER role will manage two e-commerce sites: Key responsibilities include: • SITE MANAGEMENT: Develop and maintain the site roadmap, define direction and priorities for all development and feature enhancements to deliver an optimal experience. • STRATEGY & PLANNING: Develop and implement overall site strategy to drive sales, user engagement, and higher conversion, leveraging insights and aligning with business needs. • CATALOG & VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Maintain relationships with key vendors to ensure market competitiveness, work with the cataloguing team to update and maintain product catalogs, including pricing, imagery, and metadata. Continually improve this process to find efficiencies. • CUSTOMER FOCUS: Champion the customer experience from sale to fulfillment through user interviews, analysis of user behavior, and mapping of customer flows. • CUSTOMER CARE: Field and resolve customer inquiries regarding prospective future orders, current orders, and issues with past orders promptly. • DATA ANALYSIS: Analyze data to identify vendor trends, understand user behavior, and pinpoint opportunities for improvement. • CROSS-FUNCTIONAL WORK: Work with sales, marketing, development teams, and operations to ensure alignment and proper execution. • PRODUCT OPTIMIZATION: Identify opportunities to improve based on data analysis, feedback, and customer flows. Qualifications Skills & Qualifications • CREATIVITY: Work with development teams to create intuitive digital experiences that drive sales and loyalty • TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE: Possess working knowledge of development processes, e-commerce platforms, and web technologies • ANALYTICAL SKILLS: Strong ability to analyze data and trends to develop data-driven solutions • PROBLEM SOLVING: Ability to identify problems and develop solutions related to site performance and customer experience • COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, identify connections, and align a path forward The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications: • Proven experience in a product or ecommerce management role • Salary:$75,000 - $85,000 (based on experience) • 5-7 years of experience • Superior written communication skills • Detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated • Creative approach to problem-solving • Skilled at managing competing priorities • An interest in furniture and interior design • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required • Preferred, but not required: Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or Canva • Preferred, but not required: Working knowledge of Wordpress and/or WooCommerce • Preferred, but not required: Working knowledge of CRM tools (e.g Hubspot, Monday, etc.)
