Role description
Why Join Us At WatchNation, we’re proud to be one of the UK’s leading independent watch retailers, offering a wide range of brands and watches to customers both online and in-store. As a family-run business, we’ve built a reputation for exceptional service, expert knowledge, and a genuine passion for watches. We’re now looking for a data-driven E-commerce Marketplace Specialist with a strong focus on Amazon to help take our marketplace performance to the next level. This role is about driving growth, improving visibility, and maximising sales through strategic account management, advertising, and optimisation on Amazon Seller Central (and other marketplaces like eBay). Alongside WatchNation, we’ve also launched our own microbrand, Cestrian Watches, with ambitious plans for expansion across international Amazon marketplaces. While your primary focus will be optimising WatchNation’s Amazon presence, you’ll also have the chance to contribute to broader marketplace strategies and growth initiatives. With new product launches, international growth plans, and a fast-paced e-commerce environment, this is a chance to join a team where your expertise and ideas will have a direct, measurable impact. The Opportunity You’ll take ownership of WatchNation’s performance across Amazon and other key marketplaces, ensuring our listings, campaigns, and strategies are fully optimised. Working closely with the wider team, you’ll help drive revenue, improve efficiencies, and shape the future of our marketplace operations. Key Responsibilities Amazon Channel Strategy & Optimisation • Lead daily operations of our Amazon Seller Central accounts (WatchNation & Cestrian). • Develop and implement strategies for listing creation, optimisation (A+ Content, Storefronts), and competitive pricing. • Manage and optimise Amazon Advertising (PPC) campaigns (Sponsored Products, Brands, Display). • Plan and execute seasonal campaigns, deals, and promotions. • Ensure full compliance with Amazon’s policies, addressing any account health issues. • Oversee FBA planning, shipments, and stock reconciliation. • Use Helium 10 extensively for research, optimisation, and performance tracking. • Leverage repricing tools and software to stay competitive across products and regions. Other Marketplace & Systems Support • Support the eBay account: listing, pricing, advertising, shipping rules, and business policies. • Coordinate with freelancers to maintain marketplace efficiency. • Administer Cloud Commerce Pro to manage listings, integrations, shipping rules, and order checks. • Utilise CRM and reporting tools to support strategic decision-making. • Help produce and interpret reports related to sales, stock, and marketing to inform business actions. Data Analysis & Reporting • Use Excel to support reporting across sales, stock, and pricing. • Apply strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) to help identify trends and support decisions — with an emphasis on Amazon performance metrics. Third-Party Apps & Logistics • Manage tools and applications that support Amazon operations (e.g., Helium 10, repricing softwares, Ezi Returns). • Troubleshoot shipping issues and collaborate with carriers like Royal Mail, DHL, Amazon Shipping, and UPS. Cross-functional Collaboration & Growth • Prioritise tasks based on business impact, particularly on Amazon. • Maintain close collaboration between the Amazon and web teams to align goals. • Support Operations where needed to ensure seamless business performance. • Assist in researching and unlocking new marketplace opportunities (e.g., Amazon India, Brazil, UAE, Australia). What We’re Looking For Essential: • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in e-commerce marketplace management, with clear focus on Amazon Seller Central. • Experience with Amazon Advertising (PPC): Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Display Ads. • Strong working knowledge of Helium 10 and other Amazon-supporting tools (repricing, optimisation, analytics). • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data analysis). • Analytical thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights. • Excellent verbal and written communication, confident liaising across internal teams and freelancers. • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Background in fashion, watches, or luxury retail (preferred). • A genuine interest in e-commerce and growing with a fast-moving business. Growth Opportunities At WatchNation, we believe in nurturing talent. For the right person, this role offers plenty of room for advancement. You’ll build in-demand marketplace expertise and could progress into: • Senior E-commerce Marketplace Specialist – managing larger accounts or territories. • E-commerce Manager – overseeing multi-channel digital commerce strategies. • Buying or Merchandising – supporting product strategy and market research. You’ll be a key part of our growth journey and gain valuable skills in one of the fastest-growing sectors of retail.
