Position Summary:
We are looking for an Ecommerce Site Merchandiser to oversee and enhance the online presentation of our products. This person will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital strategy for North American markets, focusing on apparel, accessories, and third-party offerings. Collaborating closely with teams in purchasing, planning, marketing, and creative, the specialist will ensure product curation and brand storytelling on our ecommerce site align with business objectives and drive financial success. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, precise, collaborative, and has a proven history of executing initiatives that boost online revenue.
Key Duties:
โข Oversee daily operations for the eCommerce merchandising unit
โข Drive achievement of regional sales targets
โข Maintain deep understanding of product lines including trends, inventory, assortment and market opportunities
โข Assess departmental needs across categories and key segments
โข Deep familiarity with product selection, market trends, sales performance, and identifying growth opportunities
โข Comprehensive insight into organizational requirements across various departments, product categories, and primary markets
โข Lead the development of creative briefs for digital storytelling, campaign content, and promotional initiatives
โข Collaborate on seasonal go-to-market strategies and support the execution of new product launches and marketing promotions
โข Contribute to web content strategy and assist in building and updating the Shopify platform
โข Support online product launches by managing imagery, descriptions, categorization, technical specifications, pricing, and related data
โข Oversee merchandising operations including implementing merchandising rules, managing redirects, and optimizing site performance
โข Support digital product launches through image selection, copywriting, categorization, pricing, and data management
โข Manage site merchandising activities such as rules implementation, redirects, and ongoing optimization
โข Analyze business performance data for regular reporting cycles
โข Liaise with global teams in product development, marketplace operations, retail, and wholesale to share insights and support seasonal curation
โข Propose and implement digital enhancements to improve user experience and conversion rates
Qualifications:
โข 2 to 3 years of relevant merchandising experience
โข Background in digital commerce or direct-to-consumer sales
โข Strong organizational skills with ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
โข Excellent communication abilities paired with analytical thinking
โข Aptitude for translating market insights into actionable plans that drive profits
โข Collaborative approach with willingness to interface across departments
โข Familiarity with Shopify, Full Circle, Asana, Google Analytics, G Suite or Microsoft Office preferred
โข Experience within the fashion or action sports sectors is advantageous
