Responsibilities
The eCommerce and Customer Marketing lead is an integral part of the team within the North American Sales Organization. This individual will support the Strategic Accounts and Growth Channels area leadership in the first part of coverage and will then transition to cover the Grocery Wholesale area. This person owns the management of the marketing budget and will spearheads strategic annual planning of key drive periods at retail.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
β’ People Development between 5 to 6 people (Analyst to Senior Manager level)
β’ Building strategies to drive market share and understand how current plans are performing. Share out success and best practices.
β’ Budget owner & cascades budget down to Senior Managers or Managers
β’ Support customer Specific JBP/JVP/KVP as needed
β’ MBR/QBR Analytics and support
β’ Primary POC for: BU Leadership, National Omni Team
β’ Recaps of the following: Specific campaign recaps (per customer), Test & Learns
β’ Equipping & training Field Sales Teams with eComm Sales knowledge for them to eventually own through tools and document aids.
β’ Retail Media Network Monthly Reporting & QBRs
β’ Digital Expect across Perfect Screen: Strategy, Reporting & Share Outs across availability, content, and share of search.
Work Environment and Schedule
β’ This position is considered a Remote based role that can be performed from a home office with preference for Chicago AON office. Additionally, this role is a temporary 9.5-month role with potential for full time hire, based on performance and business needs. Shift if Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week during business hours. β’ Strong digital and eCommerce fluency, including media metrics (e.g., ROAS, CPC, incremental ROAS) β a must
β’ Retail media strategy and buying experience (e.g., Roundel, The Collective, ADRM, DGRM) β a must
β’ Business acumen in CPG planning to guide campaign strategy and investment decisions β a must
β’ 8+ years in digital marketing, eCommerce, or CPG preferred
β’ People management experience preferred, but not required with strong digital expertise and executive presence
β’ Familiarity with the CARS framework (Content, Availability, Ratings & Reviews, Search)
β’ Knowledge of retailers (ALB, TGT, AD, DG, Meijer, HEB, Publix preferred) and broker environment
β’ Tableau (used for dashboards; team supports data pulling) β must know how to interpret data rather than building dashboards
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
β’ Strong sales, eCommerce, marketing, media, category planning and/or analytical background
β’ Strong oral and written communication skills, including reporting and presentation skills
β’ Excellent organization and project management skills
β’ Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
β’ Savvy with business intelligence tools/software (ex. IRI, Spark, Reveal, Tableau, and Budget Management)
β’ Ability to effectively summarize sophisticated information upwards and influence sales leadership to drive appropriate action
β’ Strong at forging internal/external relationships and commanding trust/respect of others
β’ Proven track record to coordinate a strategic vision and a team of individuals in a fast-paced, results driven environment
