Role description
Position Title: E-Commerce Manager Location: Dubai, UAE (On-site) Reports To: CEO Team Size on Day 1: 1–2 coordinators (potential future growth) Role Summary We are seeking an operationally sharp, design-aware, and detail-oriented e-commerce lead to own the daily management and strategic optimization of our two Shopify websites: knothome.com and carpetcentre.com. Your role is to ensure the front-end experience is seamless, up-to-date, visually aligned with our brand, and optimized for conversion. This is not a content role — this is about keeping the sites profitable, functional, and always improving. You will work closely with photographers, designers, the warehouse team, the digital marketing lead, and social content teams to manage everything between product setup and checkout. Key Responsibilities • Manage the full Shopify back end for two websites: product uploads, inventory sync, pricing updates • Coordinate with the photo/video team to ensure all new collections and products are shot and uploaded on time • Ensure each product page includes proper tagging, sizing, descriptions, pricing, and related product recommendations • Own homepage updates, seasonal refreshes, banners, and collection layouts • Run weekly merchandising audits to ensure top sellers are visible, slow movers are demoted, and filters are working correctly • Collaborate with the warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure only in-stock and correct variants are published • Work with the digital marketing manager to set up landing pages and campaign specific pages • Ensure proper mobile responsiveness, load speed, and basic UI/UX hygiene • Track product/category conversion rates and proactively suggest layout or hierarchy improvements Required Skills & Experience • Minimum 3–5 years of e-commerce management experience, preferably on Shopify • Hands-on experience using heat-maps, A/B testing platforms, and CRO tools to guide site layout, improve product conversion, and optimize user experience • Understanding of product merchandising, UX principles, and customer journey best practices • Comfortable working with photo, design, and warehouse teams simultaneously • Basic familiarity with GA4 and conversion tracking • Strong organizational skills and a highly proactive mindset Nice to Have • Experience with GCC consumer markets • Light Shopify coding (HTML/CSS/JS tweaks) Success Metrics • Improved product conversion rates and time-on-site • Timely product uploads and merchandising updates • High website accuracy (pricing, variants, photos, descriptions) • Reduced bounce rate and increased cart initiation rate
