Role description
We are recruiting for an E-commerce Manager for a US start-up, which is a subsidiary of a successful online beauty retailer in the UK. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the website, which focuses on selling skin care products, trading them effectively, and optimising UX journeys. Using data, heatmaps, and other engagement tools to ensure high conversion to drive a higher average order value and engagement. You will possess strong commercial acumen, be data-driven, and have exceptional attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: Manage the third-party website development partners to deliver high-quality, innovative change, with a clear impact on hitting the core KPIs. Working closely with the Digital agency to manage PPC campaigns Own the bi-weekly and seasonal website refresh, ensuring all content is tested and delivered on time. Responsible for ensuring all product data and content is updated on the website, including images, blogs, product descriptions, banners, and prices. Manage and execute the eCommerce growth plans, working closely with the Marketing Lead to deliver best-practice eCommerce expansion whilst sharing critical path timelines to the broader team. Responsible for the reporting of the UX and functionality of the website, collecting and actioning data and analytics to drive improvements across the website, looking at trading performance, customer purchasing behaviour and digital marketing campaigns. Manage the online sales budget control and forecasting using data and trends to develop realistic sales forecasts for peak trading periods. Manage with the Marketing lead the digital marketing budget with the Digital agency to deliver the most efficient return on spend. (ROAS) Implement the plan for higher Google rankings by developing and monitoring SEO, making recommendations on spend, strategy and tactics. Own the Loyalty Programme in conjunction with the Marketing Lead, continually looking at ways to optimise retention via the website in partnership with our loyalty provider and having a clear understanding on what the competition is doing. Monitor current competition and new/emerging omnichannel brands for inspiration, market awareness and web sales trends to ensure web offer and experience is in line with customer expectations. Work with the Marketing Lead to plan the end-to-end customer journey for new brands, product launches and promotions. Drive cross/up-sell to increase UPT and AOV, with responsibility to analyse impact and optimise. Devise and drive a performance and data analysis plan to inform and support growth using analytical tools Support technical troubleshooting and tackle any website issues. About You: 3+ yearsโ€™ experience in a similar role, used to working in a fast-paced environment, ideally coming from managing a multi-brand website in retail/beauty. Shopify experience (mandatory) Fully conversant in Google Analytics. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of delivering digital solutions utilising UX best practices, with excellent knowledge of digital infrastructure best practices and site mechanics. Proven experience in managing third-party suppliers & agencies. Solid commercial acumen, with a proven record of delivering results. Commercially minded with excellent numerical and analytical skills. Strong communications skills and impeccable attention to detail. Excellent organisational and project management skills are essential. A team player who is flexible and responsible for change. Self-motivated, confident, and assertive..
