As the E-Commerce Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of akamaibasics.com. Your goal is to drive sales by optimizing the customer experience to increase conversion rates, time on the website, and AOV while reducing costs, simplifying technology and backend processes. To do this, you will create a strategy and plan from data analysis (and experience) then implement it utilizing a range of tools, software and resources.
You are the Shopify Expert, the Recharge Expert, the Tiktok Expert, Google Analytics and Google Admin expert. You are well-versed in all of the apps required to optimize the sales and customer experience, including affiliate marketing, customer referrals, analytics, inventory management, cart upsells, content publishing, SEO, and more.
You are the “go-to” person for all website functionality, performance, and customer experience. If something breaks, you can fix it or know who to contact (Designer, Developer, etc.).
Goal / Mission of Role: Increase revenue and website conversions at akamaibasics.com and sales channels (tiktok, social media).
Responsibilities Summary - 80% Doing, 20% Managing:
• Develop and implement an Ecommerce strategy and roadmap, which identifies key KPIs and quarterly and annual “rocks” that align with company goals.
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing and Design teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels and help identify, manage, and implement website improvements, fixes, and general updates, including functionality, content, and performance.
• Daily maintenance and updates to online store and sales channels.
• Explore, innovate and implement new features and experiences for customers to improve conversions, back office efficiencies and customer satisfaction.
• Implement and manage product and content rollouts on the website and sales channels.
Skills and Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and builiding ecommerce websites using Shopify, for consumer products.
• Data analyst, with focus on key KPIs used to QA and identify issues, improvements and successes.
• Project management experience
• Google analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEO and SEM rush
• Certifications and specific training in ecommerce (eg Google, Shopify Academy, etc.)
• Natural collaboration and communication skills with team members across departments
• Deep understanding, enthusiasm and experience in Ecommerce.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Big Plus - experience and understanding of natural products and natural health and wellness.
