Role description
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Ecommerce Manager to lead all aspects of our Walmart.com content strategy. This role will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining high-quality product detail pages, driving discoverability, conversion, and sales for Walmart online CPG business. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Walmart’s Supplier Center, content requirements, SEO best practices, and a proven track record of managing digital shelf presence for consumer products. Key Responsibilities Content Strategy & Execution • Own and manage all Walmart.com content for our brand portfolio, ensuring compliance with Walmart’s standards and best practices. • Create, upload, and optimize product titles, descriptions, attributes, and rich media through Walmart Supplier Center. • Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, design, supply chain) to ensure content accuracy, brand alignment, and timely launches. • Implement keyword research and SEO strategies to improve organic search ranking and discoverability on Walmart.com. • Develop and maintain A+ content, videos, imagery, and enhanced product experiences. Performance Optimization • Analyze performance metrics (traffic, conversion rates, search ranking, content scorecards) to identify improvement opportunities. • Regularly audit product pages to ensure accuracy, updated features, and optimized keywords. • Monitor competitor activity and category trends to ensure our digital shelf presence is competitive. Collaboration & Process Management • Serve as the internal Walmart.com content expert, staying current on Walmart’s policies, tools, and content innovation. • Coordinate with sales teams to align content strategies with promotional calendars and merchandising opportunities. • Partner with marketing and creative teams to ensure visual assets meet Walmart’s specifications. • Maintain a content publishing calendar to track updates, refreshes, and seasonal launches. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. • 3+ years of ecommerce content management experience, preferably with Walmart.com or other major retail platforms. • Proficiency in Walmart Supplier Center and knowledge of Walmart’s Content Quality Score (CQS) metrics. • Strong understanding of ecommerce SEO, keyword strategy, and digital merchandising. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and reporting tools; basic HTML knowledge is a plus. • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Success Indicators • Increased Content Quality Scores and organic search rankings on Walmart.com. • Improved conversion rates and online sales performance for Walmart assortment. • Streamlined processes for content creation, approval, and updates. • Positive cross-functional collaboration and timely product launches.
