Ecommerce Marketplace Executive
Rochdale – Office Based

Our Client, a rapidly expanding ecommerce business in the homewares sector are looking to recruit an Ecommerce Marketplace Executive to join their small, friendly team in Rochdale.
With a strong presence on multiple e-commerce platforms—including their own dedicated website, Amazon, eBay, and other marketplaces - this role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, passionate about e-commerce, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced and growing business.
Duties include:
Marketplace Listing & Product Management
• Create conversion-optimised product listings across Amazon, eBay, and additional marketplaces.
• Upload and manage product imagery and assets in accordance with each platform’s technical and SEO standards.
• Conduct bulk uploads using flat files or platform-specific tools (e.g., Amazon Inventory Loader, eBay File Exchange).
• Maintain listing quality scores through content improvements, image updates, and keyword optimization.
• Ensure consistent SKU alignment and category placement across platforms.
Channel Performance & Optimization
• Monitor key performance metrics (e.g., Buy Box %, search ranking, impressions, click-through rate, conversion rate).
• Audit listings for underperformance and implement strategies to improve visibility and sales.
• Assist with identifying gaps in product coverage across marketplaces (e.g., items listed on Amazon but missing from eBay).
• Execute monthly reviews of pricing competitiveness and sales trends to inform updates.
Operational Support
• Manage marketplace backend operations including:
• Processing orders (including drop-ship fulfilment).
• Responding to customer messages, queries, and post-sale requests within SLA.
• Supporting with return requests, A-to-Z claims, or disputes where required.
• Ensure operational compliance with platform policies to minimize suspensions or performance warnings.
Skills & Experience Required:
• Proven experience with Amazon Seller Central, eBay Seller Hub, and ideally other marketplaces (B&Q, The Range, Wayfair, etc.).
• Solid understanding of how marketplace algorithms rank and display listings (e.g., Amazon A9).
• Familiarity with marketplace tools like product templates, bulk listing files, and content guidelines.
• Creative product copywriting skills geared toward driving conversion and ranking.
• Confident handling large datasets and performing spreadsheet-based updates (Excel, Google Sheets).
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.
