Role description
eCommerce Merchandiser Location: Hybrid in Beaverton, OR (M-Th onsite; Fri remote) Duration: ~7 months to start Pay: ~$34/hour, DOE (W2 and benefit options) The Planet Group is looking for an eCommerce Merchandiser to join our well-known retail brand on a roughly 7-month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will be hybrid onsite in Beaverton, OR. eCommerce Merchandiser Responsibilities: • Contribute to an inclusive, positive, and progressive team dynamic • Work closely with fellow merchants, buyers and cross-functional teams; in particular Digital and Stores Buying, Consumer Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, Site Merchandising and Brand Marketing • Work with finance, operations and the insights/analytics teams; relying on business reporting which includes quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales, inventory and consumer behaviors • Partner in bringing the seasonal assortment to life on the Digital platforms • Understand related aspects of the business and marketplace in making plans, including coordinating between genders, brands and how individual products or collections impact each other • Collaborate cross functionally to ensure assortment plans meet consumer demand and strategies execute • Hone consumer-centric assortment plans across multiple seasons with an understanding of the client's position in the market & competitive landscape to blend fact-based and intuitive inputs • Participate in seasonal buy reviews and in-season trading to influence actions to optimize growth with critical partners • Responsible for 50% of the Women’s Sportswear Footwear business with ownership of Classics and Solar • Assort, adapt, and curate consumer right assortments with end in mind for the business by using historical data, analytics and real-time market feedback to advise future seasons while winning today (in-season read & react/selling & serving) eCommerce Merchandiser Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training • 2-4 years’ experience in footwear buying and/or merchandising, product creation and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand or digital environment • Strong affinity for current market trends and how apparel can continue to be a style leader in the marketplace • Footwear, Apparel, Equipment or relevant consumer product buying and/or merchandising experience • Understanding of common retail and/or digital profit-based metrics such as sell-through, turn, ASP, UPT and others • Ability to contribute to and drive strategy into action • Experienced Buyer with Footwear experience • Proven retail competence and analytical abilities, with an understanding of retail environments, and bring a consumerist perspective to the team and business
