About The Role Job Title: Ecommerce Merchandiser Reporting To: Senior Ecommerce Manager, Head of Ecommerce Location: Rochdale, OL16 1XB Terms: Permanent, Full-time Hours: 35 Hours Per Week (Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 06:00pm flexibility) Overview As an Ecommerce Merchandiser, you will play a key role in managing and refining how our products appear and perform on our ecommerce website channels. Your core responsibility will be applying our product proposition effectively to ecommerce channels, to strengthen our product and brand presence and maximise sales growth opportunities, utilising marketing principles to achieve our goals effectively. This involves meticulous attention to detail in optimising product listings, enhancing search visibility, and utilising promotional tools and features to capitalise on sales growth opportunities, improve average order value, improve conversion rates, and enhance customer experience. Working closely with the Ecommerce Catalogue Team, Ecommerce Digital Marketing Team, and Product Marketing and Content Teams, you will leverage the marketing principles to deliver ‘Gold Standard’ product listings. Your passion for ecommerce, coupled with your analytical skills, creative mindset, and understanding of marketing principles, will be pivotal in shaping our online retail strategy and achieving sustainable success. Core Competencies • Ecommerce Merchandising Expertise – Strong understanding of product presentation and optimisation on ecommerce websites. • Content Accuracy & SEO – Skilled in enhancing search visibility and product performance through optimised content and metadata. • Trading & Promotional Awareness – Ability to align merchandising activity with commercial objectives and seasonal plans. • Data Analysis – Confident using analytics tools to monitor performance and inform decision-making. • Creative Collaboration – Able to work effectively with content and design teams to deliver compelling promotional pages and assets. • Platform Knowledge – Experience with ecommerce platforms such as Magento and CMS systems. • Adaptability & Innovation – Willing to learn and adapt to platform changes, ecommerce trends, and evolving customer behaviours. About You You are a detail-driven ecommerce professional with a strong understanding of how to present and optimise products on ecommerce websites. Required Qualifications & Experience • 3+ years minimum experience in an ecommerce merchandising role focused on website channels. • Experience with Magento and ecommerce CMS. • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital, Business, or relevant field (preferred).
