Job Description
As this is a hybrid role working out of our Creative Studios in Westlake, Ohio, we will focus on candidate who currently reside in Northeast Ohio.
The Merchandising Coordinator - eCommerce works with Product Management – eCommerce and the Sales/Marketing teams to execute item listings and other asset publications onto 3rd party ecommerce websites as well as B&M retail partner websites. This position works with internal and freelance resources to develop new creative assets that, combined with the information provided by Product Management, populates the retail partners’ merchandising templates. The eCommerce Merchandising Coordinator also maintains all of the product information in the appropriate Content Management System so that the information can be easily accessed and shared across our business and for use in subsequent item set ups.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
eCommerce New Product Set Up
Product detail page asset creation and maintenance
Work with SEO team to establish targeted keywords and other ways to optimize pages for internal & external search rankings
Maintain copy and image style guide standards
Coordinate the development of unique, SEO-infused product copy, including descriptions, titles and product features; provide light project management support for editorial resources when necessary to keep them on track and executing against known deadlines.
Coordinate the development of product photography, including submitting work requests, providing product numbers and samples, and giving art direction.
Site Merchandising
Work with Product Management to acquire product information and associated attributes.
Make categorization decisions and fill in other ecommerce-specific information if unavailable.
Use retailer-provided forms to complete online item set up and photo submission.
Record and communicate new retail IDs to product team.
Upload product information into content management system
Provide support to Assistant Merchandising Manager – eCommerce in developing and maintaining C&C POGs within AG’s merchandising tool (i.e., Blue Yonder)
Experience Required
Required Length & Type of Experience:
2 to 3 years’ experience in consumer goods preferred
1 to 2 years e-Commerce experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail
Proficient in technology and data analysis tools including Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Analytical skills to evaluate data and distill key insights
Experience using Salsify, a Product Content Management system
Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Business Management
