Role description
Position Profile: At CURiO Brands (Thymes, Capri Blue, Otherland), we create products that spark joy, warmth, and connection through fragrance, design, and storytelling. We’re looking for a hands-on eCommerce Merchandising Specialist to help bring our brands to life across our DTC websites. This is an ideal role for someone with 2–3 years of experience in eCommerce or digital merchandising, who is comfortable working in Shopify, has an eye for detail, and wants to deepen their impact in a fast-paced, creative environment. This role reports to the Manager, eCommerce. Core Responsibilities: Merchandising & Content Execution • Launch new products, collections, and content updates across Capri-Blue.com, Thymes.com, Otherland.com, and Curiobrands.com using Shopify and related tools • Optimize product placement and categorization to support seasonal storytelling and commercial priorities • Ensure content accuracy across PDPs, landing pages, and promotional banners • Monitor and update on-site product recommendations, search results, and reviews to improve discoverability and conversion Promotional & Campaign Support • Set up sitewide and category-level promotions in Shopify and test all related experiences (discount logic, CTAs, badges, etc.) • Partner with Marketing and Creative to brief and QA banners, messaging, and onsite copy • Support cross-functional efforts around product launches, site refreshes, and brand campaigns QA & Optimization • Own daily QA of site updates across desktop and mobile; identify, escalate, and resolve any bugs or inconsistencies • Review in-stock availability and adjust merchandising accordingly • Track basic performance metrics (e.g., clicks, conversion, add-to-cart rate) and make content adjustments to support site goals Team & Customer Experience Support • Collaborate closely with Customer Service to flag site issues, ensure accurate content, and support promo clarity • Document merchandising workflows, standard operating procedures, and update calendars • Bring a test-and-learn mindset to everything you do - we love people who love to tinker General Responsibilities: • Supports CURiO Cornerstones and strives for individual leadership by using cornerstone behaviors in the workplace and in daily decision making. • Follows all policies and procedures of the company. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Merchandising, eCommerce, or a related field, or equivalent hours of relevant experience. • 2–3 years of experience in eCommerce merchandising, digital operations, or site content management • Hands-on Shopify experience required (PDP/collection setup, discount configuration, content updates) • Familiarity with QA processes across desktop and mobile Computer and/or Software Qualifications • Proficiency in Shopify for product, collection, and promotion setup • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms (Excel, Word, etc.) and Google Workspace • Knowledge of basic principles of HTML/CSS and Bootstrap • Familiarity with content planning or task management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Workfront) • Experience with basic analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, or similar tools Core Competencies • Collaborative energy, great communication, and a proactive attitude • Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams (Creative, Marketing, CS, etc.) • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in content management • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, tools, and processes • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Positive, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset • Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven digital environment • Passion for customer experience and eCommerce best practices • Ability to analyze data, anticipate trends and provide recommendations • Ability to maintain and protect company proprietary information Preferred Qualifications • Experience in a DTC environment or working across multiple brand sites • Familiarity with SEO basics and on-site search optimization • Copyediting or digital merchandising storytelling experience • Experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Figma) or evaluating brand assets Preferred Competencies • Copyediting or content review experience is a plus • Analytical mindset with a curiosity for site performance and user behavior • Visual eye for merchandising layout, product presentation, and brand consistency • Eagerness to experiment, test, and iterate for ongoing site improvement Travel Requirement: Less than 5% Hybrid Working Environment and Physical Demands: • General office or home office environment: Works at a desk in a well-lit, air-conditioned cubicle/office/home office, with moderate noise levels. • Ability to sit for hours at a time, viewing computer monitor on a constant basis.
