Job Description This position will be responsible for organizing products and categories to create exceptional online shopping experiences across multiple websites. The Ecommerce Site Merchandiser is a critical contributor to our success. This role involves combining creativity, strategy, and analytics to drive success in ecommerce merchandising. Responsibilities Here are some examples of the actual work your day would include. • Organize and maintain product categories, manage homepage and category landing pages, as well as develop merchandising strategies to drive sales and improve the customer journey • Collaborate with the creative team to produce content for banners, landing pages, and category pages • Plan and execute seasonal promotions, product launches, special offers, and in/out-of-season projects based on sales history reporting and communications from product development • Collaborate with Paid Advertisement team to maximize efficiency of campaigns • Use tools like Google Analytics and heatmaps to analyze product and category performance; Conduct A/B testing on product pages and make data-driven recommendations to improve conversion rates and margins • Provide regular reports on category performance, site traffic, and conversion rates; Analyze customer insights and reviews to inform strategies • Enhance site navigation and product search functionality, including managing search tools like SearchSpring for spell corrections and "No Search Results" issues • Work with marketing to implement SEO best practices; Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive analysis to refine strategies • Manage online educational resources and blog articles that are customer facing • Partner with the ecommerce development and product merchandiser teams to improve product page content, site functionality, and overall user experience • Identify, communicate and execute enhancements to improve the shopping experience while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines • Support ecommerce platform functionality by assisting with troubleshooting issues • Utilize internal project management tools to organize tasks and track progress efficiently Don’t know about ponds? Skill Set To be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge and skills: • Knowledge of customer preferences, industry trends, and competitor activities to tailor offerings • Expertise in enhancing the user experience, from navigation to content clarity • Knowledge of Google Analytics, conversion tracking, traffic and bounce-rates • Ability to think long-term about merchandising strategies and category performance improvements • Understanding of SEO best practices for optimizing product and category pages • Ability to spot trends in data, analytical and creative thinking to figure out how complex systems work • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms and tools as well as content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML programming to make tables, charts, headers, paragraphs, insert optimized images and bulleted lists • Ability to juggle multiple projects, from routine updates to major seasonal campaigns • Strong typing, grammar, spelling, copywriting, and editorial skills as well as strong communication skills • Understanding of compliance requirements for online content and data management • Must be an organized individual with strong time management skills with great attention to detail focusing on quality and precision This position requires manual dexterity for typing, sitting at a desk and looking at a computer screen for long periods of time. In addition, portions of the position may require job shadowing and training which includes physical activity of lifting 25-35 pounds and standing for long periods of time. We need a self-motivated Ecommerce Site Merchandiser that has a desire to become an expert while creating procedures with precision and quality. You'll need the ability to learn quickly through training and work independently in a fast-paced environment. This person should continually add value to the organization beyond their day-to-day tasks. Availability You must be available to work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 7am and 6pm Monday – Friday with the occasional evening or Saturday for projects that must be done outside of normal business hours. Remote Position Our Ecommerce Site Merchandiser role is a work from home position. However, there are certain times our Ecommerce Site Merchandiser role may be required to come onsite, or report virtually, for training or other employer sponsored events that are during or outside your normal work schedule.
