Role description
Weβre on the lookout for a data-driven eCommerce Trading Manager to join our team at Buyagift & Red Letter Days. In this role, youβll take ownership of online performance across 2 categories β using data, insight and optimisation to drive sales and enhance the customer journey.
Youβll get stuck into performance analytics, pricing strategies, and promotional planning, using numbers to shape decisions and deliver real results. Itβs the perfect role for someone who thrives on turning insight into action, whilst working in a cross functional and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Own trading performance for your categories, analysing KPIs such as revenue, margin, AOV, conversion, and traffic
β’ Optimise on-site merchandising: from navigation and product placement to search performance and funnel efficiency
β’ Build and maintain forecasting models to identify growth opportunities and flag commercial risks
β’ Develop and execute promotional plans in collaboration with Marketing and Buying
β’ Partner with Buying on range planning by identifying gaps and supporting decisions with insight
β’ Track competitor activity, pricing, and wider market trends to inform trading strategy
β’ Collaborate across UX, supply, and marketing teams to improve site experience and campaign effectiveness
β’ Create clear, actionable reports on category performance and share recommendations with stakeholders
About you:
β’ Experience in ecommerce trading or online merchandising, with hands-on use of web analytics or reporting tools
β’ Proven ability to forecast commercial performance and make data-led decisions
β’ Demonstrated success in delivering trading results and improving conversion
β’ Skilled collaborator β confident engaging with stakeholders across Marketing, Buying, UX and beyond
β’ Excellent communication and organisational skills
β’ Experience shaping pricing and promotional strategies is desirable
β’ Familiarity with forecasting tools or models is a plus
β’ Understanding of range planning in a multi-brand or multi-category ecommerce environment
β’ A proactive mindset and high attention to detail
