Role Purpose:
We are looking for an analytical and creative E-commerce/Online Merchandise Manager to lead the planning and execution of merchandising strategies across our digital platforms. This role is critical in driving online sales performance, enhancing the customer shopping experience, and ensuring products are displayed, categorized, and promoted effectively to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Planning
• Develop and execute online merchandising strategies to support business goals and seasonal campaigns.
• Plan product assortment and category placement to maximize conversion and revenue.
• Collaborate with buying and inventory teams to ensure optimal stock levels for online channels.
Site Merchandising & Content Management
• Manage homepage, category pages, product display pages (PDPs), and promotional banners to ensure a compelling and intuitive customer experience.
• Work with design and content teams to ensure accurate and engaging product descriptions, images, and videos.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
• Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify, Adobe Analytics) to monitor KPIs such as conversion rates, AOV, CTR, bounce rates, and inventory turn.
• Conduct A/B testing to optimize product placements, promotional tactics, and site navigation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with marketing, digital, UX, and development teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and optimal site functionality.
• Work with customer service and feedback teams to understand pain points and opportunities in the customer journey.
Promotion & Campaign Support
• Coordinate with marketing teams on seasonal promotions, launches, and sales events.
• Set up product promotions and discounts in the e-commerce platform and ensure proper execution.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field.
• 5 - 8 years of experience in online merchandising, e-commerce, or digital retail.
• Strong understanding of digital retail metrics and customer behavior.
• Proficiency with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
• Experience with analytics tools and dashboards.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Strong eye for detail and aesthetics with a data-driven mindset.
• Experience with SEO and product taxonomy optimization.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and basic web development principles.
• Prior experience in fashion, beauty, electronics, or similar retail verticals.
