Role description
We’re looking for a killer copywriter. If you find yourself manically grinning while your fingers fly across the keyboard, we’re looking for you. If you find yourself thinking about subject lines while brushing your teeth, we’re looking for you. If you can justify every line of copy you put on the page, because you’ve already cut it by 50%, cleaned up every sentence so it’s tight and smooth, we’re looking for you. If you know why starting a sentence with “Whether you are…” is a bad choice, or using the word “that” is kind of yucky, we’re looking for you. This position is for a dedicated email copywriter. You’ll be working with a tight team of account managers, designers, and Klaviyo techs to produce emails that clients are proud to send and that make them money. Briefs are provided. You don’t have to speak to clients. There’s a 5-15 minute daily call with your team. And we’ve removed everything in our workflow, so the only thing you need to focus on is writing. We’re looking for someone who loves to write and loves to write well. RESPONSIBILITIES • You’ll write and edit around 8-14 campaigns per day. • Maintain a neat and organized workspace in Asana, Figma, Slack, and Google Docs. • Be available during our core online times during the day, Monday to Friday. • Joining daily calls and once per month, all-hands calls on time. • Maintain a strong communication standard with your team members and department leader about issues, priorities, and what you need to succeed. • Track and maintain updates or changes to the brand TOV from the provided brand guidelines and client feedback. REQUIREMENTS • You can make good creative choices. • You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an email copywriting position. • You’ve worked with e-commerce brands before. • Prior experience working at an agency is a huge plus. • You have experience working in Google Docs, Figma, Notion, Slack, Asana, or similar platforms. A basic understanding of Figma is fine.
