Asheville Dispensary delivers high-quality, legal cannabis products that elevate everyday wellness. Plant Bar is reimagining what a non-alcoholic bar can be, serving specialty craft coffee, tea, and zero-proof cocktails in a space built for connection and intention. We move fast, think big, and care deeply about what we’re building. If you want to get in early, create something meaningful, and be rewarded for going the extra mile, keep reading. What You’ll Do We’re seeking a creative, results-driven email marketing specialist who transforms strategy into compelling stories that drive sales. You’ll create email marketing and CRM lifecycle campaigns for both brands, crafting everything from one-off promos to automated flows. As we scale, you’ll help shape broader digital strategies, experiment with innovative ideas, and boost retention and engagement to deliver measurable business impact. • Campaign Execution: Design, build, and execute compelling email campaigns, newsletters, product launches, and promotions for Asheville Dispensary and Plant Bar, ensuring brand voice and visual consistency. • Automation & Optimization: Develop and optimize email templates and automated flows (e.g., welcome series, abandoned cart, win-back, upsell) to maximize engagement and conversions. • Audience Segmentation: Create and manage targeted audience segments for personalized, high-impact messaging tailored to customer behaviors and preferences. • Testing & Analytics: Lead A/B testing for subject lines, content, send times, and CTAs to boost KPIs (e.g., open rates, CTR, conversions, and minimize unsubscribes). • Performance Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance metrics, delivering data-driven insights and recommendations to enhance results. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with design, content, retail, and e-commerce teams to align campaigns with brand goals and ensure cohesive customer experiences. • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all campaigns adhere to industry regulations, particularly for cannabis marketing, and follow best practices for deliverability and engagement. • Creative Innovation: Experiment with innovative content strategies and leverage AI tools to enhance campaign performance and streamline workflows. What We’re Looking For You’re a growth-minded marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment. You know how to turn bold ideas into campaigns that not only look great but also perform above industry benchmark metrics. You blend creativity with data, design with strategy, and aren’t afraid to test, learn, and optimize. You’re a problem-solver at heart, driven by results, and committed to continuous improvement. If you love crafting email experiences that connect, convert, and scale, you’ll fit right in. Must-Haves: • 3+ years of experience in email marketing, ideally for e-commerce or retail brands. • Strong copywriting and content creation skills for compelling email campaigns. • Proficiency in Canva, Figma, or similar tools for creating email assets. • Hands-on experience with Klaviyo or similar email software. • Highly organized, self-directed, and eager to improve skills. • Comfortable adapting quickly in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. • Experience or willingness to learn AI tools (e.g., copywriting assistants or analytics platforms) to enhance marketing performance. Nice-to-Haves: • Interest in the cannabis and specialty coffee/tea industries. • Experience with SMS campaigns. • Familiarity with ERP or project management tools for task tracking and collaboration. • Familiarity with Google Analytics, WooCommerce, and WordPress. • Some experience with broader digital strategy or paid media. Compensation & Perks • Competitive hourly pay ($20–$30/hour, based on experience). • Product discounts for Asheville Dispensary and Plant Bar. • The chance to grow into a full-time role as we scale. • A creative, collaborative culture that rewards proactive problem-solvers. • Flexible remote work with tools like Slack to stay connected. How to Apply Email your resume, portfolio/examples of email work (campaigns, flows, or results), and a short note explaining why you want to work with us to zack@avldispensary.com. If you’re passionate, creative, and ready to own your impact, this is your shot.
