Role description
Part of the Interparfums group founded in 1982, Interparfums USA develops, manufactures and distributes prestige fragrances as the exclusive worldwide licensee for Abercrombie & Fitch, Anna Sui, DKNY, Donna Karan, Dunhill, Graff, GUESS, Hollister, MCM, Oscar de la Renta, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo and Ungaro. Through its global distribution network, the Company’s products are sold in over 120 countries. We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Executive Director, Commercial – US Primary & Boutiques to lead all omnichannel sell-in and sell-through initiatives across U.S. department stores, specialty-multi accounts, and licensing partner retail boutiques. This key leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing 360-degree commercial strategies across brick-and-mortar and e-commerce channels, with a strong focus on accelerating retail sales, expanding market share within the prestige fragrance sector, and maximizing profitability through margin improvement and expense control. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Sales – Americas and collaborates closely with cross-functional partners to drive operational excellence and strategic growth. This position is based in office from Mondays-Thursdays, and remote on Fridays. Key Responsibilities Commercial Strategy & Sell-In Leadership • Develop and execute comprehensive 360° sales and marketing strategies for U.S. primary (department store/specialty) and boutique channels, inclusive of both physical retail and e-commerce platforms. • Translate brand priorities into tailored channel strategies that drive net shipments, improve retail sell-through, and expand market share in the competitive prestige fragrance space. • Identify and pursue commercial opportunities that enhance margin, optimize assortments, and reduce operational inefficiencies. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement • Lead, inspire, and manage a high-performing team including Sales Operations, Key Account Director, National Sales Manager, Retail Experience lead, and field sales force. • Cultivate strong working relationships with internal cross-functional teams (Marketing, Trade, Finance, Supply Chain) and external retail partners to align business objectives and drive seamless execution. Financial & Inventory Management • Co-manage full P&L responsibility for the US Primary & Boutique sub-region in partnership with the VP, Sales. • Optimize forecasting and inventory management processes to ensure accuracy, minimize excess inventory, and improve turnover, ultimately enhancing POS performance and conversion. • Proactively negotiate, monitor, and report on chargebacks, markdowns, and allowances—ensuring transparency, budget adherence, and risk mitigation. Sell-Through & Retail Experience Optimization • Oversee and enhance the retail experience through targeted strategies that elevate customer engagement and brand storytelling across all touchpoints. • Partner with Global and Regional Marketing to deploy impactful programs that improve retail productivity and build brand loyalty. Education/Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred. • Minimum 12+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience within the prestige beauty/fragrance industry. Required Skills • Proven success in managing large national accounts, retail boutiques, and omnichannel business models. • Strong P&L and financial acumen, with demonstrated ability to manage budgets, analyze performance, and drive profitability. • Inspirational people leader with experience managing cross-functional teams and field organizations. • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Strategic thinker with operational discipline and a results-driven mindset.
