LEGO Consumer & Shopper Engagement is at the forefront of delivering exceptional consumer support globally. Delivering engaging experiences for our LEGO Communities requires a growing focus on social media interaction, fandom engagement, providing shopper assistance, and fostering two-way relationships across various touchpoints.
Reporting to the Director of Community Management & Moderation, you’ll play a pivotal role within a best-in-class and innovative global engagement centre for communities, driving measurable value for the LEGO Group across consumer touchpoints and constantly identifying new opportunities for driving value through engagement
• This is a temporary 1 year assignment
• Core Responsibilities
• Support the strategy development and own the execution for community management for all grown-up audiences on the LEGO Group’s earned digital platforms, including social media and video channels, as well as ratings and reviews across apps and retail touchpoints
• Successfully foster thriving communities and support channel health through engagement and moderation on social media and other earned platforms, tailored to specific audience segments. Your goal is to leverage fandom for mutual value, leverage culturally relevant trends. drive advocacy and membership, and enable the LEGO Group to build direct and lasting relationships
• Motivate and lead an international team of 10-14 community leads and community engagers, set direction for them, support them in their development and coach them to perform to the best of their ability
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across LEGO, including Global Social Media, eCommerce, Corporate Brand Communications, our LEGO Agency and local markets, as well as external partners, to define ways in which the Community Management & Moderation team can foster stronger brand engagement across the LEGO Ecosystem
• Collaborate with key partners to pre-empt, manage and mitigate brand risk across high reach platforms, including agile management and swift resolution of potential challenges
• Contribute to our social media tooling and moderation strategies, by working with the Community Moderation Manager, the digital/social product teams and external partners, to optimise audience safety, drive productivity and leverage opportunities to reward and encourage engagement. (Experience with social media management tools such as Sprinklr, is advantageous)
• Employ a data driven attitude, working with Analytics and Insights colleagues to set and track success against key performance indicators, ensuring the Community Management & Moderation team operates as a critical business enabler
Do You Have What It Takes
• Significant and proven experience in a similar role (Digital Marketing, Social Media, Community Management) within a complex, global organisation
• Extensive background and community engagement experience across social media, video platforms and apps, including deep understanding of audience needs and behaviours, platform capabilities and nuances, effective ways of working and cultural relevancies
• Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, inspire and support high performing teams to deliver against meaningful business goals
• Highly accomplished in monitoring and identifying trends and knowledge of / ability to evaluate platforms, tools and partners that can help the LEGO Group advance its digital consumer and shopper engagement experiences
• Familiarity with online /safety considerations, risk assessment and mitigation strategies in digital spaces, including collaborating with relevant collaborators to effectively manage and mitigate crisis comms and issues management scenarios
• Ability to positively influence and drive impact through effective collaborator management, collaboration, presentation and communication skills
Other considerations
• Working in a global organization may mean early or late meetings outside of normal office hours (regularly, at times).
• Domestic and international Travel will be required
