Role description
We’re looking for our first marketing hire — a Swiss Army knife who can build and scale a repeatable growth engine. You’ll take ownership of our email, content, social, events, and acquisition channels to drive demand and revenue. Our ideal candidate is a fast-learning, versatile marketer who can hit ambitious growth targets repeatedly, through creative tactics and data driven iterations. You’ll be a critical, long-term hire who owns our overall marketing presence, working hand-in-hand with Sales (to feed them warm leads) and Product (to refine positioning). You’ll operate across multiple channels—organic and paid, digital and offline—and act as the glue between product marketing, demand generation, and brand strategy. What You’ll Work On • Own the growth playbook: Design and execute go-to-market strategies targeting enterprise decision-makers (e.g., SVPs of Design, COO, CIOs, innovation leads) • Channel experimentation: Identify, test, and scale acquisition channels — from LinkedIn ads and ABM campaigns to SEO, webinars, events, and partnerships. Prioritize these channels based on budget, audience, and ROI. • Demand generation: Build and optimize funnels that drive high-intent leads for our Sales team. Collaborate with Sales Ops to track conversion metrics and continuously refine targeting and messaging. • Content & Campaign Ownership: Produce high-quality thought leadership, case studies, and industry reports that position us as the go-to AI partner in fashion design and product development. Produce engaging assets (blog posts, case studies, webinars, social campaigns) showcasing Make the Dot’s value and technical capabilities. • Lifecycle marketing: Set up and optimize nurturing flows, drip campaigns, and customer success touchpoints. • Brand building: Develop our narrative, voice, and visual identity in partnership with design and product. • Data-driven decision-making: Implement analytics and tracking to measure ROI, refine strategies, and report results directly to the founders. • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with sales, product, and engineering to align growth initiatives with product roadmap and customer needs. Who You Are • Curious – You ask “why” and dig deep. Always testing, learning, and staying ahead of the curve. • Creative – You combine storytelling and strategy to craft campaigns that resonate and convert. • Gritty – You execute fast, stay scrappy, and don’t give up when things get hard. • Adaptable – You’re comfortable with chaos, change, and unstructured problems. • First-Principles Thinker – You don’t default to “how it’s done.” You think from the ground up. What We’re Looking For • 3–5+ years of growth, demand gen, or product marketing experience (B2B SaaS or AI/ML preferred) • Proven success with hands-on execution across multiple acquisition channels — digital, content, events, email, organic • Thrive in zero-to-one environments and are comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration. • Understand enterprise buyer journeys and complex sales cycles. • High attention to detail and strong bias for ownership and execution • Communication & Storytelling SkillsGravitas to present to executives internally and externally, with strong storytelling ability to transform technical details into compelling narratives for business leaders. • Have experience with tools like HubSpot, GA, LinkedIn Ads Manager, or equivalent, and always on the lookout for the latest and greatest tooling. Bonus Points • Experience in the fashion or retail industry • Power user of Webflow (Note: We value unique backgrounds; if you feel you have what it takes but don’t perfectly match every bullet, we still want to hear from you. The best candidates will find a way to make sure we have a conversation!)
