The Role
The Head of Acquisition will own VIIA’s entire customer acquisition strategy and execution. This role requires a proven growth operator who can work autonomously against ambitious revenue and ROAS targets, build and lead a team, and work hand-in-hand with the Head of Retention to create a seamless customer journey from first click to repeat purchase. You will report directly to the CEO and be accountable for scaling VIIA’s acquisition engine efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Goal Setting
• Develop and continuously refine VIIA’s acquisition strategy in alignment with annual revenue and growth targets.
• Define KPIs, budget allocations, and performance benchmarks for all acquisition channels, offers, and campaigns.
• Map and maintain customer personas and use cases to guide offer, creative, and campaign direction.
• Plan the annual promotional calendar, including key sales moments and campaign pillars.
1. Campaign & Tactic Development
• Generate, evaluate, and prioritize new acquisition tactics and offers.
• Write test hypotheses, define success metrics, and outline scope, required assets, and timelines.
• Lead creative concepting for campaigns, approving messaging, visual direction, and asset production.
• Oversee landing page builds, tracking setup, attribution frameworks, and testing environments.
• Ensure clear separation between testing initiatives and core operations for accurate reporting.
1. Execution & Optimization
• Launch acquisition campaigns, promos, and MVP tests on schedule and within budget.
• Monitor daily/weekly KPIs (revenue, ROAS, CVR, AOV, CAC, unsub rates, etc.) and make rapid, data-driven optimizations.
• Communicate performance insights, wins, and challenges in real-time to stakeholders.
• Maintain visibility on costs, timelines, and ROI of all initiatives.
1. Evaluation & Scaling Decisions
• Analyze test results against success criteria and historical benchmarks.
• Decide when to scale, refine, or sunset campaigns/tactics based on performance and ROI.
• Conduct competitive research and margin analysis to inform pricing and promotional strategies.
• Document learnings and maintain a library of proven growth playbooks.
1. Operationalizing Wins
• Transition winning tactics to the core growth team with full SOPs, templates, and resource allocations.
• Allocate budgets and team bandwidth to ensure successful scaling.
• Archive all creative, performance data, and learnings for future use.
1. Cross-Functional Leadership
• Collaborate closely with creative, analytics, operations, and retention teams to execute acquisition strategies.
• Ensure acquisition efforts are aligned with retention and B2B sales priorities.
• Provide the CEO with concise, actionable performance reports and strategic recommendations.
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performance acquisition team.
About You
• 5+ years of experience scaling DTC eCommerce brands, preferably from mid - 7 figures to 8+ figures.
• Proven track record of managing and optimizing multi-million-dollar acquisition budgets.
• Expertise in paid social, paid search, affiliate/partnership marketing, influencer activations, and emerging acquisition channels.
• Strong analytical mindset with mastery of key eCommerce metrics and attribution frameworks.
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams.
• Able to operate autonomously, make fast decisions based on data, and be directly accountable to aggressive growth targets.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
