Role description
Central Employment are working in partnership with a fast growing online retailer, a true challenger brand within there sector. They have a new and pivotal opportunity for a Head of eCommerce, to join there expanding SLT, tasked to scale there eCommerce unit, focusing on new customer acquisition, retention across both B2B and DTC.
Background of the Head of eCommerce and Digital Marketing role:-
You will manage all agencies, with the intention of developing a growing an internal team, taking responsibility for all aspects of the eCommerce function and with a keen eye on their personal development and progression. You will be responsible for all aspects of the eCommerce business, including effective customer acquisition, customer engagement, revenues and new routes to market. Working closely with the CEO & product team and operations you will optimise product ranges to meet customer demand and identify new categories to broaden our base and customer reach.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
β’ Translate brand objectives and wider company goals to define effective digital marketing and digital strategy across online and offline trading, eCommerce, CRO, Performance, CRM, SEO, PPC, Email, Mobile and Display
β’ Maximising online sales and lead gen for offline sales (B2B/B2C) performance through effective day to day adaptations of the site, increasing conversion, AOV, promotional activity and minimising customer bounce rates
β’ Liaising and influencing cross functionally within the senior management team, ensuring all stake holders are engaged on eCommerce activity, projects and strategy, and knowledge, assistance and insight is acquired where needed
β’ Drive customer acquisition (new and existing) through marketing channels to optimise CPA returns
β’ Deliver best practise campaigns that have impact and drive engagement across the sales funnel, and across all our sales channels β online and offline.
β’ Develop tactical initiatives to respond to short-term sales demands from the business
β’ Design lifecycle programmes and a communications strategy for existing customers and prospects, utilising the capability available from our CRM platform to maximise LTV
β’ Develop initiatives to improve data-capture online to both increase our lead generation capabilities and grow our prospect database
β’ Optimal impact with new product launches across all channels
β’ Continually monitor and evaluate our online customer journeys and site performance, proposing and implementing test & learn initiatives to improve performance
β’ Managing 3rd parties where applicable and ensuring optimal results
β’ Building the eCommerce team as demand grows
β’ Develop our global eCommerce strategy in order to achieve sales objectives whilst preserving and building brand integrity
Essential skills & experience: -
β’ Extensive eCommerce trading experience
β’ Worked in an online, Homewares, retail, or fast-moving environment
β’ Knowledge of all aspects of marketing and customer reach within a digital environment
β’ Management experience including recruiting team member
β’ Experienced Ecommerce professional ideally in both corporate and entrepreneurial businesses
β’ Have hands-on experience of managing all aspects of marketing and revenue generation within eCommerce environment
β’ You are independent and self-directed but able to work and lead a team
β’ Have superior analytical skills to track and manage performance
β’ Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others and get βbuy-inβ
β’ A quick learner who can process lots of information and prioritise action
β’ Effectively navigate and collaborate cross-functionally
β’ Are an outcome focused leader, with strong team orientation
