Slone Business Labs is looking for a Head of Ecommerce & Growth to lead marketing across our growing portfolio of companies. In this role, you'll own strategy, execution, and results — working directly with the CEO to plan and launch initiatives, manage contractors, and optimize funnel performance from A to Z. You’ll be our chief problem solver and growth driver, accountable for getting things done without needing a large in-house team.
This is not a corporate role. It's a builder role — ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, speed, and high standards. You’ll be creating the strategy, approving it with leadership, then personally overseeing its implementation using external specialists. If you’ve ever said “I can do it better myself” — and then proved it — we want you.
Key Responsibilities:
-Own the Marketing Function: Plan, launch, and optimize all marketing initiatives across multiple companies
-Strategic Planning: Work directly with the CEO to create actionable, metrics-driven marketing plans
-Execution Leadership: Personally execute marketing projects when possible, and manage a team of specialized contractors (SEO, Paid, Content, Email, etc.)
-Funnel Ownership: Manage every stage of the funnel — from lead generation to conversion to retention — using analytics and experimentation
-Contractor Management: Source, hire, and oversee contractors and freelancers to get things done quickly and well
-Performance Reporting: Track KPIs and produce clear, insightful reports that tell us what’s working and what’s not
-Budget Accountability: Oversee the marketing budget and ensure high-ROI decision-making
-Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with product, support, and leadership to ensure alignment between marketing and company priorities
What We’re Looking For:
-8+ years of digital marketing experience, with strong exposure to both strategy and execution
-Demonstrated ability to drive measurable growth through paid ads, email, SEO, and conversion rate optimization
-Strong funnel and analytics orientation — you're comfortable using data to make decisions and pivot quickly
-Previous experience managing outsourced teams or freelancers to execute campaigns
-Highly self-motivated and willing to work long hours when needed — this is a high-output, high-responsibility role
-Bonus if you've operated in lean startups, agencies, or founder-led companies where you wore many hats
-You take ownership and don't wait for others to solve problems

This is a full-time position. General hours are 8:00am–4:30pm EST, but overtime and weekend availability is expected when deadlines or performance demands it.
