Role description
Position Description
Bybit is seeking a seasoned and forward-thinking Marketing Head to lead the global go-to-market strategy, brand positioning, and integrated growth campaigns for Bybit Card and Bybit Pay. This role is critical in shaping the future of crypto-native payments across both retail users and business segments in high-growth emerging markets.
What a Marketing Head - Payments Business Unit does at Bybit:
You will be responsible for defining and executing the regional and product-level marketing strategy, with a focus on user acquisition, market education, ecosystem partnerships, and integrated lifestyle campaigns. You will collaborate closely with Product, Compliance, BD, Operations, Social and Community teams to craft narratives that bridge the gap between Web3 technology and real-world payments utility.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in traditional sales and distribution, bringing strategic vision and hands-on execution to the table, and can bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3, driving product adoption through clear value propositions, channel partnerships, and on-the-ground activation.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead global marketing strategy for Bybit Card and Bybit Pay across new and existing markets (Europe, APAC, LATAM), driving adoption across core crypto users, KOLs, and business partners.
• Design and launch go-to-market plans for new product rollouts (e.g. Regional card launches, FX/remittance, local QR integrations), balancing growth with local compliance and regulatory considerations.
• Own the messaging, positioning, and narrative for the product suite: Translating complex technical functionality (e.g. stablecoin cashback, chain-agnostic payments, direct onchain top-ups) into accessible, value-driven storytelling.
• Lead event and partnership strategy, including:
• Regional roadshows, fintech and Web3 conference participation (e.g. Money20/20, Token2049)
• KOL-hosted offline activations and pop-ups
• Joint merchant promotions with Web2 retail and service brands
• Payment partner and blockchain ecosystem co-marketing
• Run cross-functional campaigns with BD, Product, and Social teams to drive adoption through influencer activations, regional co-marketing, educational content, and performance media.
• Drive localization strategy: Ensure messaging, content, and activations are culturally and linguistically optimized for markets like Brazil, Philippines, Argentina, and Vietnam.
• Shape product feedback loops, working with product teams and user research to incorporate user insights into roadmap, messaging, and feature prioritization.
• Manage marketing KPIs (acquisition, effective user deposits, transaction volume) across all major growth channels including owned, earned, and paid media.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of marketers across campaigns, partnerships, branding, and content.
Requirements
• (Years of experience would just be a gauge, what we look out for is passion, creativity, and grit)
• Demonstrated success in launching and scaling products across emerging markets, especially in Europe
• Good to have: Strong understanding of the crypto ecosystem, including wallets, stablecoins, L2s, and real-world payment use cases. Bonus points for candidates with an existing network of industry contacts (commercial, media, branding) that can be activated to accelerate growth.
• Experience planning and executing brand activations, offline events, and ecosystem partnerships across both crypto-native and Web2 audiences
• Track record of building brand trust and education around crypto-linked financial products, including cards, QR pay, and rewards
• Exceptional storyteller with the ability to craft compelling narratives for different audiences: retail users, KOLs, business partners
• Comfort with a high-growth, ambiguous environment that requires hands-on problem solving, creativity, and agility
• Native or professional fluency in English; French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, or other SEA language is a plus
