Role description
POSITION SUMMARY The Head of USC Marketing will be responsible for shaping, driving and coordinating the United States and Canada (USC) Marketing function. The position will develop, drive, implement, and coordinate the USC marketing strategies to increase product sales in the United States and Canada. The Head of USC Marketing will provide strategic direction and leadership to the United States and Canada marketing teams and direct support to sales channels in driving LEDVANCE company sales growth and helping the company meet overall LEDVANCE targets in USC. The position will represent the USC region in support of, and in collaboration with the global marketing organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for managing, coordinating, and driving the USC Marketing function for the company, including all relevant activities through marketing channels, campaigns, and effective promotional strategies, including PULL vs PUSH, to drive sales targets and meet operational objectives • Defining and implementing sales marketing strategy for all USC channels and supporting US and CAN with operational sales marketing tools and measures, in close cooperation with the Trade, Retail, and eCommerce channel heads; • Defining and taking responsibility for conceptual and operational sales marketing actions/projects in the territory including online marketing approaches and measures (eCom); • Managing and steering territory MarCom budget and drive country allocation and implementation • Realizing synergies from bundling activities in the USC territory across countries and using marketing tools existing and creation of new ones; • Reviewing and improving existing processes to establish better, quicker or more cost-effective ones; • Creating and implementing strategies to increase market share; • Collaborate with product and sales teams to launch new products/services, develop go-to-market strategies, and create compelling product positioning and messaging. • Providing excellent support and voice of the customers in management meetings and product directions, while also providing new insights on branding needs and driving special projects for the region to ensure the company continues in the right direction; and • Expected to matrix manage outside vendors and contractors to ensure performance expectations and customer satisfaction. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage Marketing teams through delegation, execution, and results, as well as ensure quality standards and policies are being met and able to set expectations. • Conduct performance management, set annual goals, and provide formal and informal feedback and reviews; • Provide career development, coaching, and a team atmosphere that attracts and retains employees. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in business administration or marketing related field. MBA preferred. • 15+ years of marketing and/or product development experience. • 7+ years of leadership experience as a marketing manager • Lighting knowledge and experience preferred • Experience working with global teams preferred. ADDITIONAL • This position is located in Wilmington, MA with 3 in-office days per week. • Work sponsorship is not available with this position.
