Role description
Our client is a domestic manufacturer within the Home Dรฉcor category has a robust B2B
and direct-to-consumer presence. With years of consistent growth and innovation, the
company has evolved from a $3 million operation to a $25+ million enterprise serving
customers nationwide through 12 distinct sales channels with the unique capability to
produce orders today and ship tomorrow.
The Head of Marketplace & Web Commerce will lead the execution of the companyโs
revenue growth initiatives across all digital channels, driving $3-5 million in incremental
revenue over the next 18-24 months. This hands-on role requires someone who can
transform strategic ideas into actionable plans and execute without waiting for permission.
You'll orchestrate growth across marketplaces (Amazon, Target, Etsy, Wayfair, etc.),
direct-to-consumer websites, and emerging channels while building systems for
sustainable expansion. A critical component of this role involves optimizing web commerce performance, including leading a website redevelopment project and enhancing conversion rates across all owned digital properties. You'll balance marketplace channel management with DTC web
optimization to maximize revenue and profitability across the entire digital portfolio.
This position reports directly to the CEO and leads a team of four, including channel
managers, sales operations manager, and brand manager. The ideal candidate will bridge
the gap between remote leadership and on-site operations, serving as a strategic partner
who operates with autonomous authority.
Qualifications:
โ 4+ years managing revenue across Amazon + at least one other marketplace or DTC
site with hands-on execution experience
โ Proven FBA launch experience with >500 SKUs and โฅ$500K year-one sales
โ Deep understanding of FBM/FBA operations and catalog optimization
โ Experience optimizing brand websites and product listings across 2-3 channels with
measurable conversion improvements
โ Hands-on generative AI optimization experience (prompt engineering, keyword
clustering, AI-generated imagery/video)
โ Track record of 10-20%+ year-over-year revenue growth through tactical execution
and process improvement
โ Experience leading or mentoring 2-5 analysts/creatives while maintaining hands-on
execution
โ Multi-channel e-commerce leadership experience with an understanding of channel
P&L dynamics
โ Manufacturing or physical product experience preferred but not required
