Job Description About The Role… As Head of Membership for Good Housekeeping you will work closely with colleagues in the Editorial, GHI, Customer marketing, PDE and client teams to deliver the CL and GH member proposition and experience to drive engagement, ultimately improving satisfaction and NPS. The Head of Membership is a senior member of the Country Living and GH brand teams. Main Duties… • Own the GH members’ experience, to nurture and improve especially the “Be a Tester” experience via the GHI (booking tests, receiving products, giving feedback, building community). • To take overall ownership of the members’ content strategy, planning what exclusive content appears where and when, and working with colleagues in the brand and central teams to deliver that plan: Members’ rewards platform for both brands. Members’ versions of newsletters and member only newsletters. All member specific content in print and across the web. • To join the dots across touchpoints (print, digital, newsletters, social) to make sure all aspects of GH and CL membership is considered and communicated to existing and prospective members, and to work closely with the customer marketing and editorial teams to ensure consistency of tone across member communications. • To be central to the development of new member offerings (for example the GH Kitchen app, premium tier membership on CL), including product, positioning and pricing, and to co-ordinate the GTM planning for these. • To oversee members’ live events programme, working closely with editorial, customer and events teams, to ensure maximum attendance and joy, conversion of prospects, and deep integration with editorial before and after. • To set KPIs / benchmarks, and then monitor and report on member engagement across key touchpoints • To work with insight team to track member satisfaction and engagement, testing and refining new opportunities (such as GH Kitchen app and new welcome box) • To manage the relationship with third parties (e.g. website agency Moot, who host and maintain the Marketplace site) including management of the Shopify and Shipturtle accounts • For clarity: this role is not accountable for delivery of a member acquisition number but will be required to contribute materially to improving member retention About You… • Five years’ experience minimum in a customer or brand marketing environment on a major brand • Proven experience of developing and launching digital products, including working with tech product / platform suppliers • Experience of marketing subscriptions and membership brands is a distinct advantage, as is experience of having organise and run live events • Excellent copywriting skills • Confident handling marketing data: NPS, CTR, ROI etc • Significant experience working in a matrixed environment is a plus. This role line manages one Member Exec and one Ecommerce Mgr directly, but is working across two big brands and two quite different propositions • Proven track record of growing customer engagement and usage of a product • To be an ambassador of Hearst UK and its values. • You may be required to undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or as may be assigned to you from time to time.
