Role description
About pdPlus: pdPlus is your digital partner in ecommerce—built to help brands win on Amazon, Walmart, and beyond. We believe brands deserve more than a vendor; they need a partner that blends strategy, creative, and operational rigor to drive measurable outcomes. Our team has hands-on platform experience from storefronts and content to ads and analytics, and we partner with leading ecommerce tech providers to deliver end-to-end solutions across growth stages. We’re scaling fast and looking for builders who can turn momentum into durable systems. The Role: We’re hiring a Head of Retail Media to fully operationalize and scale our Amazon and Walmart advertising practice. Operationalize retail media at scale: design the team, codify the process, deploy the tools, and translate data into outcomes. You’ll set the vision, build the roadmap, and lead hands-on execution across Sponsored Products/Brands/Display, Amazon DSP, and Walmart Connect. What You’ll Do: • Define the retail media strategy and testing plan; translate it into weekly execution and measurable wins. • Lead full-funnel campaigns across Amazon Ads (incl. DSP) and Walmart Connect; own budgets, pacing, and performance. • Stand up clean, decision-ready reporting (ROAS, TACoS, CVR, new-to-brand, share of voice) and communicate insights clearly. • Build operating systems: SLAs, SOPs, QA, experimentation frameworks, and a repeatable improvement cadence. • Evaluate and operationalize tools (e.g., Pacvue/Skai/Perpetua/Quartile, GA4, Looker Studio, Excel/Sheets) and light automation. • Partner with brand, creative, catalog, and ops to align merchandising, content, and media for maximum impact. • Present strategy and results to clients with a consultative, proactive approach. • Shape the org as we scale: hiring plans, role design, onboarding, mentoring, and standards. What You’ll Bring: • At least 5 years in retail media/performance marketing with deep, hands-on Amazon Ads (incl. DSP) and Walmart Connect experience. • Proven track record improving revenue and efficiency at portfolio or enterprise scale; strong testing and incrementality mindset. • Fluency in retail search/display mechanics, bid/budget automation, audience building, and measurement. • Excellent client communication and storytelling—clear, actionable, confident with data. • Builder’s mindset: you create playbooks, fix gaps, and thrive in a high-growth environment. • Ability to travel up to once a month. • U.S.-based and authorized to work in the United States; this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Nice to Have: • Team leadership (managing analysts/specialists or agency pods). • Multi-category experience and seasonal planning. • Familiarity with retail readiness levers (catalog health, content, reviews, pricing) and their impact on media efficiency. • Business Development experience. What We Offer: • Starting base salary: $120,000, with scaling as the business grows (milestone-based increases). • Bonus: Performance-based bonus potential up to 50% of base. • Equity: Opportunity for up to 10% ownership in the company upon vesting schedule • Flexible, remote-first culture; modern tooling; real ownership and impact. • Professional development and the chance to build the retail media division end-to-end. Disclaimer: This description reflects the role as it exists today. Because we are growing rapidly and actively operationalizing our retail media division, responsibilities, scope, reporting lines, and required qualifications may evolve. We may modify duties or requirements at any time prior to joining the company. Equal Opportunity: pdPlus is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to an inclusive environment for all employees.
