Role description
Head of Sales – Payment Gateway Locations: London, Dubai or Malta The Head of Sales at PayFuture is a critical leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share in the global payments and payment gateway industry. You will lead the commercial strategy for PayFuture’s payment gateway solutions, cultivating relationships with merchants, e-commerce platforms, and strategic partners. Your expertise in gateway technology, payments industry, merchant acquisition, and sales leadership will be instrumental in positioning PayFuture as a preferred payments solution. Working closely with compliance, product, and technology teams, you will design and execute a sales strategy that drives adoption of our payment gateway across diverse verticals. Core Responsibilities • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute PayFuture’s sales strategy for payment gateway solutions across multiple markets. • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a sales team with clear KPIs and objectives. • Merchant Acquisition: Build and maintain relationships with merchants, PSPs, and platform partners. • Deal Oversight: Negotiate and close high-value gateway contracts with global merchants. • Market Intelligence: Monitor payment trends, regulations, and competitive landscape to refine strategy. • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with product and technology teams to align gateway features with merchant needs (API integrations, fraud tools, routing optimisation). • Reporting: Deliver sales forecasts, pipeline insights, and performance reports to the executive team. Qualifications • 7+ years of senior sales leadership in payments, fintech, or acquiring, with a strong focus on payment gateway solutions. • Established network within payments ecosystem (merchants, PSPs, acquirers, partners). • Proven success in developing and executing merchant acquisition strategies. • In-depth knowledge of payment gateway technology, merchant onboarding, API integrations, fraud prevention, and cross-border acquiring. • Experience leading high-performance sales teams and closing enterprise-level merchant contracts. • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred. • Willingness to travel globally.
